Ice sucks...

There is at least a 1/4" of ice outside. I hate ice. It shuts everything down. You can't go outside and enjoy it. You just have to huddle up inside... well, that does have its advantages, but still.... ;)

Hey, you're lucky, I would kill for some ice down here to shut down school for Monday, I could really use a day off.

Come to Durban South Africa. The temperature never drops below 10 degrees C.

IT rained in the Valley and Snowed at the upper elevations last night.

I would hate to be on the road today. (As the areas where the tree's/mountains blocked the sun have become "Black Ice")

My first experience with winter driving was with ice. I feel for you. It's 70 degrees Farenheit here today, BTW. :D

Come to San An-fucking-tonio Texas, we haven't had even snow for almost 18 years.

Kelly isn't saying that she hates that, just ice.

There isn't much ice her in Western PA, just a lot of snow. People are expecting up to 16", and that isn't too good for me, as I'm the one that has to shovel the driveway, as well as the driveway of a lady that lives up the street.

You do mean that you don't want to be out because of all the idiots out there, right? Black ice is really dangerous too.

I've got sunburnt yesterday. It's far too hot and sunny and the beach is very appealing. Damn, I wish I lived in someplace cold so that I had to stay at home and be forced to work.

Yes, I love snow.... pure, white, fluffy snow. You can get around in snow. Ice just makes everyone turn into idiots. :(

Exactly Kelly.

The majority of the damage comes from the fact that:

1. The Idiots don't know that the ice is there and will try to drive a road that can't be safely driven at more then 25mph at 50mph
2. I'm still trying to repair my driver side fender/Turnsignal from the idiot who lost control passing me on an icy step winding grade a few months ago.

Why do you think I left Iowa for Southern California? Snow is nice until it covers your car and you have to dig it out 20 min before class with a shovel then you catch all sorts of sicknesses then your car slides around on the ice then you have a 50/50 of slipping and crushing your bones before you get to where your going, then when you are done doing what youre doing you get to start all over again.

Summary: Fuck Winter

That's why I like the Tacoma/Seattle area. Even though I'm in the NW, it rarely snows and freezes only in the early morning/late night, however it does rain around here a lot...

Actually, I kinda like it

especially when the skies are all dark, and the ravens are out

reminds me of some fantasy worlds...

Over here in Merrie Olde Englande ( ), we haven't had any decent snow for the last 5-6 years, at least where I live.

Plenty of rain, though.

Speaking of rain, it frickin poured for over 24 hours STRAIGHT a few days ago. Geezus...

In California, we don't get rain at all sometimes. But when it does rain, it RAINS.

I've got 10 inches of snow outside my window, on top of another 2-4 inches left over from the last snowfall. And another 2-10 inches are expected, according to the most reliable weathermen who where off by 12 hours on when the storm would start.

Ice? Don't you get that out of a tray in your freezer? How long does it take to cover the ground with ice cubes and how long does it take them to melt?

And snow is something on distant mountain tops...

I like rain. It makes certain types of clothing see-through. :D Hmm...on second thought, I take that back. I sometimes like rain. I've seen snow once, when I was like 5. And the roads never get coated with ice in San Francisco.
