Cool :)

Bought that game when it orignaly came out, still play it from time to time. If you can ignore the tedious interface you will love it. Enjoy!

Rebellion sucked.

The empire starting with 2 planets and some fighters? Hell when I played it I didn't even start with Coruscant!

I would've preferred having 2 very different sides needing 2 very different strategies. The Empire should've started in control of a LOT of stuff, but would have issues controlling it all and keeping rebels, local governors and others in check.

The Rebels should start with just a few scattered bases and work to subvert the empire playing cat and mouse trying to stay one step ahead.

Having spent 2 hours at it just there now i must say it seems a good game. But i'd need more time to build a huge fleet with loads of Troopies to take planets and hold them. Any chance of it being updated and the inclusion of FMV space battles?

It's impossible to start without Coruscant, since it's a primary objective for the Rebels to capture it from the Empire. Other than that, I agree with what you say. I like the game, but the two sides do play almost exactly alike.

I seem to recall the scariest game of it I ever playied started with instantly discovering that all of the staff on Vader's flagship were force sensitive, Getting Thrawn on my first use of the Emporer to recruit, and finding out that Thrawn was a potential sith......

Yes, that's right, Darths Thrawn, Ozzel, Needa, & Jerijard within half an hour....

Get RebEd. It pays.

Plus it'll help you withstand those SUPER fighters that the game inexplicably gives superpowers to...

It's the Star Wars version of MOO. Being that I liked Star Wars, I liked the game. However, good points were brought forth: The nature of the battle should have been different for either side, and the Empire should have started out under control of much more. The Rebels could have relied on guerilla tactics (as they did in the movies). Other than that, I did enjoy the Imperial victory cutscene...

RebEd ROCKS. What I usually wind up doing is cutting down the build times and costs by like 90%. That way, both sides can acquire massive fleets fairly quickly.

If you can play for more than five minutes without wanting to throw your monitor out of the window because of C-3PO's voice, then you have my respect.
