Heh. A friend of mine just left his glasses at my place. Drive over and I'll give them to you for $50

I've never used one. Why do you need it?

Only the case? I'm sure you can run down to your glasses provider and they'd be more than happy to give you a new one.

A pair of mine are probably at the bottom of the Waimea Canyon in Hawaii... Dropped them on a school field trip.

It must suck to have to wear glasses...

Heh, it's not so bad. I tried contacts once and hated them so much that I had to go back to my glasses. I like 'em, my face feels incomplete without them.

Anyone here wear rectangular lenses for glasses?

Ouch. Well are you near or far sighted? If you far sighted you'll better off for the long run anyways, at leats you can drive and see stuff while your doing it. But I guess you'll be needing to get down there if you need new ones. And those frames are as expensive as fuck too. I feel for ya...
PS. DARN YOU MODS! YOU JUST HAD TO GO RAIN ON MY PARADE! ITS GONN ABE WEEKS BEFORE I FIX ALL THOSE GNOMES!

Ouch.
I'm more or less useless without my glasses, so I can sympathize.

Bummer. When I started wearing glasses, I was afraid something like that would happen. These days, though, my vision is so bad that I spend the whole wearing glasses, making it almost impossible to lose them.
I use the ellipsoid lenses.

I must be lucky. I don't have to wear glasses, or at least not yet. I'll just memorize the eye chart beforehand in that case, nobody will have to know.

First letter is: E
Man, that really sucks. I can't do a thing without my glasses. Tried contacts back in high school, but I have problems with not enough moisture in my eyes. That's bad for contacts.

I do.
I'm assuming you mean rectangular as is wider then they are high and not perfectly rectangular.
Oh, and B: That really sucks, man.

Fun overcompesation
Did you know Bean had 20/400 Vision? That means I can't even see the Big E from the prescribed eight feet
I like most of my family was born with excepitonal vision(20/14 Vision, anything over 20/18 is very good, 20/10 nearly unheard of, 20/15 is roughly top .001% area to give you an idea of how good)
Anyway as I grew my vision went bad ended up with 20/400 by the time I hit eighteen and joined the Navy, Somthing I'm putting off to the side is to do as my Uncle did and get Laser Correction and get back to my old ability to read 10 point font at eight feet away(Try it yourself, Set your monitor on 10 Font then back that far away, Unless your increably rich just walk to the other side of the room your computer is in, it should be two to nine feet away)

Well I also have horrible vision...I believe something around 20/300 or something.
as for losing them...it always blow...which amazing is why I have spares...believe that alone was a tale why.
But nontheless...it sucks.

I remember when I could still read the big E at 20 ft. Ah, those were the days. Now, I just see a smudge and assume it's the E. I really need laser surgery, but my folks made me get braces instead.

I'm glad for my 20/20 vision, which shows no signs of degrading. Though almost every single other member in my family needs glasses. I have doubts my vision will last past 20.

Lucky bastard.
I had laser surgery 2 years ago, and that brough my vision up to barely 20/100. (and yes, if you think that's bad guess what it was before then.)
I got at least 3 pairs of glasses, because without them I am
blind
Literaly. You dump me in an open room with 1 door and I won't be able to notice it in 24 hours.[/b]

I'm near sighted. So basically until I can find my old pair of glasses, I'm stuck doing daylight driving...

Whats worse is losing your normal glasses and having only sunglasses in DECEMBER. I had been at my bosses house (of the time) for the x-mas party and without food in my belly i began to drink shots of Vodka, Aftershock, Tequila, Whiskey and Golshlager. THEN we proceded to pass the peacepipe. I ended up passed out on the bosses toilet and when i woke up the next day my glasses where gone without a trace. I spent the next week in Deepest Darkest December with only my sun glasses to wear. Worst yet was that the Matrix was just out at the time and i had to put up with people making snide comments about me taking the movie too serriously.
