I may have to switch hosts again if these periodic response problems don't go away.
Grrrrr ....

So it's not only me who gets connection problems to the server occasionally?

That's what I initially thought, but I ran some checks from different providers and it's blocking on the server. I just turned off in-line GZIP compression to test a hypothesis that the new server is limiting my use of CPU resources and blocking on mod_gzip activity, so if the problems go away, we'll know that it's due to the server setup and I should switch to another (I've already got two prospective hosts lined up).
Please let me know if the problem goes away or continues to occur. Either way, I'll probably have to switch again (sooner or later, I'm going to find a good fucking quality webhost).

It seems to still be occurring off and on. I thought it was my connection. I'll keep you posted...

I thought maybe it was dropped request problem, but even trying to open a another bbs.sdnet link in new window proved me wrong.
It's happened to me twice in the last half hour
This response problem might be why we're seeing more double posts these days -- people clicking the submit button more than once -- happened to me once
(or twice, as the case may be
)

Only happened to me once, but that was on my school's T connection. So it's not the connection.

I can't say that I've hit the reply twice, but I've noticed it taking it's sweet fucking time opening, or posting. I thought it might be my conn, but everything else is like Parkay man.

Does this have anything to do with this "failed encrypted connection" error I get every bloody time I open a page now, so that I have to click "OK" not once but twice to get it to go away and load the damn page?

Yeah, my system always has terminal lag due to ISP.
Actually the only person with a worse Dial Up then me that I know of is Ver.
Pity us.

I get roughly two problems a day and odd 10-30 second pauses after hitting reply posts in the Off-Topic forum before they go through instead of the old 1-4 seconds

Sometimes it'll take a minute or two for it to complete an action here.

Argh; I'm going to switch to a VPS solution and that should hopefully fix the problem. I thought this account was a VPS solution, but it turns out that the account description was just misleading.

That's cold blooded. Demand a refund please.
P.S. What's a VPS?

I'm going to try switching hosts again, maybe even tonight if possible.
