Your subject line caught my eye as being one of the most inane statements I've ever seen posted here: George Bush is much more dangerous than Hitler. Hitler had at the zenith of his military power, a credible land force, a couple of allies and some V2 rockets. His navy was mainly subs and some surface raiders.

George Bush on the other hand, has a fleet of ballistic missile subs, attacks subs, aircraft carriers, globally deployable land forces and a myriad of other technological resources to wage war with.

Of course, they have totally different provocation sets, one based in rational thought and the other in, well, I hate to use big technical terms, but he's provoked because he's a fricking loony bird.

Mind you, his quote is exaggerated, but could be interpreted in a sensible way if you tried. George Bush is no Hitler (I'm not a fan of the man, but let's be serious), however he is definitely "dangerous" in the sense that he has access to nuclear weapons while Hitler did not. It depends on how you define "dangerous", I suppose.

The only thing preventing humanity from nuking itself (meaning idiots like Saddam and Kim from nuking the civilised world) is fear of retaliation. Soon enough they wont fear that. Much as it sounds wierd, I think its high-time someone start working on a forcefield device IMMEDIATELY because without some pretty fancy technology, lobbing nukes will be very bad.

in which case weapons will improve. that's been the tradition of humanity.
