Funny. Sure. But it's ridiculous. Very.

I think Saddam is morally obligated to use these fuckers as a shield for the Iraqi army in order to purge their idiocy from the gene pool. These all ought to be Darwin award recipients.

It is funny.

I was reading an article on these people the other day and one of the reasons they gave for doing it was that they hoped their presence would deter the pilots flying overhead from dropping bombs on them.

Maybe if there were enough of them and they were visible, but then I'd expect the same if there were a lot of civilians present. Still, if the target was critical enough it's still going to be all she wrote.

I think the shields might be more effective against ground troops but I could be mistaken.

But if Martin Sheen dies we won't have anyone to take in all the homeless people. :D

Sheen likes to march on behalf of homeless people. It's another excuse for him to be drunk in public.

One shield who has agreed to move into the bunker in the South Baghdad Electricity Plant is Godfrey Meynell, 68, a former high sheriff of Derbyshire and a veteran of the Colonial Office in Aden, south Yemen.

He has appealed to the RAF not to kill him. "I am an old man and they know I am here," he said. "If they bomb this site, they will be deliberately targeting me too."
Gimme a fuckin' break.....

Shinova, Martin Sheen, embodies everything that is wrong with the Hollywood antiwar crowd.. BTW to all: did you know they dug Joan Baez out of the grave to sing some anti war songs,, Is there no creativity left in Hollywood??

I hope to hell that every last one of them dies a horriably firey death, by a direct result of an explosion caused by a warhead that was funded by my hard earned tax dollars. Darwin in action folks.

"But I really wanted to guard a truck!"

"Sorry. We're assigning you to the children's hospital."

"But there's four tons of absestos and fifty liters of anthrax in there!"

What're they going to do next, send Jane Fonda over to show how Saddam Hussein's really quite a nice guy when you get to know him, and the Kurds are better off under him than they would be on their own?

let's see. . . the morals of not shooting people who go into warzones of their own free will. . . vs the patroitism instilled in your typical army grunt.

She's done that kind of thing before. Don't they still call her "Hanoi Jane" in some circles?

Exactly why I mentioned it :D . Let's just say she ain't real popular to a lot of military people I know. How she escaped treason charges I'll never know. She is as much a war criminal as Iva Ikuko Toguri ("Tokyo Rose"). The full story's at http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.htm

Jane Fonda copped a lot of bullshit lies for that- the little pieces of paper story being one- completely false. Who makes up this stuff?

Seriously though- what a dumb bitch.

No. The Dark posted a link to Snopes's article on Fonda.
