Can you tell yet which son will be the athlete, and which will be the scholar?

Which will be more like you, or more like Rebecca?

Which will be the Star Wars fan, and which will be the Star Trek fan?

LMAO! Dunno about the other stuff but I'm certain they'll both be Rabid Warsies with a taste for engineering. Just like Dad.

Though if they both became scientists, but one was a warsie and the other a trekkie, then we should expect to see two SW vs ST websites go up in the future.

Usually one follows the path of the father and the other goes in a completely different pathway.

My brother is following my dad's profession (pilot), I'm going in another direction despite the fact that me and my dad are the closest. Actually, I much rather enjoy flying as opposed to studying biology hahaha.

LOL. You NEVER know. Religion is a funny thing. Ever heard of the PK syndrome? Pastors-Kid syndrome. PKs are often the most rebellious young punks out there. The father might be the nicest guy in the world but their kids are often too repressed when growing up as they watch their friends do thing they want to but can't. So they go directly in the opposite direction of their parents once they're free.

But the converse also applies too.

Wouldn't exposing him to the worst episodes of Voyager be enough? Psychological methods can be more effective than physical ones.

Course, it might backfire and the kid might end up liking Voyager...oh wait, he'd already be onto Janeway porn at that time so showing him VOY might be a bad thing....


Just show him some Star Wars and a bunch of other shows. Might convince him of the shallowness of recent ST.
