I had an audio sync problem on a video. I thought I had fixed it with VirtualDub (by delaying the audio stream) but as it turns out the video file has some sort of cascade lag which causes the audio to become even more out of sync with the video every such and such amount of time (haven't figured that out yet). The only thing I can even consider possibly happening is the video running at a different framerate.
Clues from my fellow video peeps? I'm a novice on digital nonlinear stuff.

Well, it seems I found the culprit: a crappy DivX codec. Problem solved; yay me! And the file is only 86MB larger.
