With 28 degerees for 9 hours throughout the night, thin ice on some part of the roads and highways, the city of San Antonio has shut down. Most schools are closed and most colleges are opening late, lots of businesses are closed and most highways are shut down. Over 100 accidents have been reported so far, and I GET A DAY OFF! OH YEAH! And I can't help but laugh at you northern bastards that wouldn't even be allowed to come in late on a day like this and I get it all off! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ha. I live in wisconsin, where it's 28 degrees.....below zero.

It's so damn cold I finally caught the flu that's been going 'round after being forced to scrape the inch of ice and snow off my car's windshield so I could drive to work. Here's to hoping that cold meds and scalding hot coffee can kill the nasty little critters that have decided to take up residence in my throat.

Eh, if you're exposed to the cold long enough you can definitely get sick. I wasn't exactly wearing a winter coat, either. I think I just figured that it wouldn't take me fifteen minutes to scrape damn ice off of my car.

No you can't, you can freeze, but not get a flu from the cold.

Blah, I got out on mid-winter break a few days ago, so I don't have to worry about how cold it is. But FYI it's a chilly 17 degrees otu right now, with wind chill feels like 7 though.

And if your dogs doesn't have a place to go, get up off your lazy ass and shovel him one! Took me five minutes to clear a spot for my dog. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Try waking up at 2 am, in the middle of the forest, wearing nothing but your skives and you've got to get out of your sleeping bag and tent to take a piss. Running down a hill half awake in 5-15 degree (F) whether in nothing but underwear and boots to pee in the snow, now thats a truly cold feeling.

I don't like driving on the snow we just got though... Mitchellin tires are great for being round and running smooth, but will slip on snow salt...

Yesterday, there was a lot of heavy snow, but it was in the late morning, after I was at school. Today, there was no snow, just really cold temperatures. I'll be camping in the mountains during the weekend, so it's preobably going to be really cold and snowy there. Or at least I hope so.

YOU LAZY, WIMPY, PUSSY BASTARDS! We have to be atleast 5degrees below zero to get off on cold, and usually colder. It takes a full on white out to stop school from snow. Even then the crazy bastards at my school wont let us off half the time.

<cough> Where I am, it's about -14 celcius outside now. Forecast low for tonight is -20. We've had this kind of weather on-and-off for most of the winter...

Be glad you dont live in Newfoundland.

They get about a metre of snow on May 1st.

One town there though had a flash flood.

Town got a metre of water everywhere.

Only problem is, at -30c, the water freezes.

Every single car parked out is ruined, crushed from the ice.

You do not get a cold or flu from the cold but if it is already in your body it could enrupt because your body is using more energy to stay warm.
