Now, I'm not exactly the most computer literate guy in the world, but I'm having problems installing a few games of mine, most notably Anachronox.

Whenever I try to install this game, I always get a errer message right after it finishes preparing the installshield. The message I get is:

Unhandled Exception wrote: Error Number 0x80070725

Description: Incompatible version of RPC stub

Setup will now terminate.

Now, the thing is, I have installed this game succesfuly a few months ago, so it should work.

I'm running Windows 98.

P.S. I would call tech support, but I don't want to unless I absolutly need to since I would have to pay around 30 dollars for what could be a 2 minute call..[/quote]

Go to groups.google.com and input the error phrase. You should get some help.

Thanks for tip Dalton. I managed to fix the problem.

Turns out that one of the things I installed over the past few months (Don't know which one) decided to "upgrade" a few of my files, specificaly the Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Asycfilt.dll and Stdole2.tlb files . Luckily, I found a link to the Microsoft support page for this problem (stupid me, should have went here first) and they had a fix for it.

Everything works fine now.
