Your personal uber ship. Big or small?

God, the Q, the Infinite Will of the Universe, or whatever has decided to be generous and give you an uber ship.

Now, let's say, due to its uber-tech, both a small ubership and a big ubership would have the same technological, and nearly the same tactical and strategical, capabilities.

Would you want your uber ship to be big or small? And if you want, what size would you want it?

edit: GAAAHH!!! STupid polls!!!

Small, I don't have to compensate for my weaknesses...

If they would be equivlent, then the small one.

Understated and stylish, and I don't want anybody cracking jokes about overcompensation. Besides, I have an uber-ship, I don't have to prove anything to anyone.

I'd have a huge one that consumes suns. But it would also launcher many small ones that make the Suncrusher look like a supercarrier and the TIE fighter a destroyer.

People who make jokes will be vaporized, and the vapor sent into the hell dimension.

Gee, I can't have a nice comfy mid-sized?

Small. Easier to find a parking space and more intimate for a flying nooky nest.

Let me add a little extra:

This is an uber ship. Equipped with the highest order of technology. Which means that even if you have a tiny, fighter-sized ship, you can, through space-time manipulations, hold a planet-sized amount of space or greater inside the ship via collapsed dimensions, sub-dimensions, whatever. Just wanted to point that out. The only difference would be your ship's physical dimensions from the outside, which is unaffected by what goes on inside.

Really, with that level of capability, making the ship change in size on the fly would be easy. For imitation, my ship shall use stars as ball bearings. While for trips to visit friends it will fit in my pocket.

I will put in only one restriction (until the future calls for more): the physical, outer size you choose is permanent. That is all.

That isn't very uber. Stupid thread facilitating restriction....

Without it, people would settle with numerous different sizes for different occasions or whatever--nothing would be concrete. And it makes you think harder about choosing the size, since it's going to be the one you'll be stuck with for the rest of time. Besides, if you want to visit friends you could always put your ship in ST-style phase-cloak and whenever you want to go back, just have it teleport you back. :)

If you wanna strike fear in your enemies you would want a BIG ship. if you wanna surprise your enemies and trick them you would want the small ship.

Mine would be the size of, hmm, a galaxy.
The psychological value alone would make entire cultures bow before me. :P

I would probably die from just seeing the size of that. cause there no way you'll be able to see the end.

But wouldn't that be alittle TOO big? Can you even imagine the power required to move something like that

I'd pick the small one. Parking's easier that way.

Of course they would. The shear gravity generated by that thing would draw them to it. :P

It's an uber ship.
Who really cares?
I could destroy galaxies by just moving through them...
Or perhaps a galaxy wide hyper-spatial-techno beam that can destroy a galaxy in one hit...

Ah, fuck that. I want....EVERY WEAPON THAT CAN POSSIBLE CONCVIED!

Small, about fifty to a hundred meters long, and capable of entering atmosphere. And of course loaded with weapons...

I'd rather have the smaller one. I mean, how would it look when you accidentally smash the planet your friends are on because you got a little intoxicated and tapped the flight controls without looking? Besides, if you got into a fight with another such uber ship, you'd be a much harder target to hit.

If your both uber ships, you can't wipe out each other... :P
Size makes no differece, really.
Of course I can store billions of stars in mine.

If it's uber, then it must be big...
I'll go for a big one.
