I'm in the UK and I desperately want the complete boxset of NGE on DVD, since the bastards won't release it for gawd knows how long in the UK, I have found this little place in the land of Oz that lists this as a PAL and Region 2 DVD set.

I assume this is all real and not a typo because I'm not paying 70 quid to have a boxset shipped halfway around the globe only to be unable to play it and I have seen the perfect boxset of Cowboy Bebop on some sites with THREE DVDs, methinks that was bullshit, alas.

So, if you know any other places I can try feel free to mention them.

It's due for release here soon but I think this will be a better offer, mine cost me $108 (£66) including shipping from the US so it sounds good and you don't need a multi region player either. Go for it

I believe that it's common practice for Oz discs to be coded for more than one region because it's a smaller market.
And yes the Cowboy Bebop perfect boxset (bootleg, which I also have) only has 3 discs. Official products are always spread over more discs, typically 3-5 episodes per disc.

So, if you know any other places I can try feel free to mention them.

I NEED NGE in a boxset and Cowboy Bebop before I die, since Bebop is already on a perfect bvoxset again for the Yanks and the Aussies have NGE in a boxset (which seems to be Region 2 and 4) then I may be okay anyway.

Oh, and if you a DVD-Rom, you can always just see if you can set it to multiregion.

Ok, you might not be getting a box set but according to ADV's UK site NGE vol.1 was released here on the 20th January.

Apparently so, there is the perfect sessions and the complete sessions, the boxset I eyed before was the limited edition complete sessions though which is out of print.

Ah, saw that, but at the rate they're going it'll be months before the whole series is out and I already have the two films.

I just need to confirm that the Aussie disc plays on Region 2 and then I'm game to get it.

Got mine off Ebay for $88 + $20 postage, but as the guy didn't have the decency to leave me feedback I can't and won't tell you his user i.d

If legit, it's a pretty good deal. I had purchased each DVD separately for $25 each (so $200 total), and then just the box for $70 (damned overpriced; what was ADV thinking?). This looks like a different box than the one for the U.S. release, though. See if you can eBay it first, though, based on the prices listed above.

I ordered it online. It didn't come for over two weeks. They refunded my money. And it showed up a couple days later. Happened quite a few times with that company actually.

Fuck it, I'm going to get the 3 disc Hong Kong Bebop box set someday (I assume it's that). No way am I waiting for them to make a UK version, I'll be here till the next decade!

I had it down to an art. After they switched shipping companies to a really bad one, I worked it out that the majority of their DVDs ship out of New Jersey. Thus, I order stuff so that it ships on a Monday. And since I live in CA, it's pretty much as far across the country as you can get.

Man, I hated that shipping company, they also lost like a fourth of the stuff I ordered.

Is there any difference between that and the ordinary six disc set they sell on Amazon for a hundred bucks? I mean, besides that CD I hear was included in the box set.
