Unions within Australia have threatend to stop supplying the Australian Defence Force. This "embargo" of sorts is an attempt to get the government to back down and pull Australian forces out of the potential war.
I'm trying to find an online piece about it.
Oh, and it looks like we have a double dissolution of parliament coming up.

Lets just have these fuckers SHOT. Anyone who does to the troops
at the sharp end should be SHOT.

Well, the classic way to deal with strikers in wartime is to draft them into the army. I prefer hanging over shooting. The bullet is better used to shoot the enemy.

The Canadian government has found a simple way of avoiding wartime duty in Iraq: poverty. We don't have enough manpower or equipment to fulfill our obligations in Afghanistan and contribute in Iraq as well.
Mind you, the fucking Prime Minister of our country is the same jack-ass idiot who cancelled a multi-billion dollar deal for new Navy helicopters within hours of taking office, so our Navy is stuck with fucking 40 year old POS choppers with an abysmal safety record and >30 hours of maintenance for every hour of flying time. And he paid a $500 million cancellation charge for terminating the contract , so we pissed away half a billion dollars for nothing. Now he refuses to upgrade anything because he doesn't want to admit he made a mistake by axing the previous government's attempt to rectify our longstanding military underspending.

The CDF is just awful, one days hard fighting could expend its ammunition stocks. A Seaking crashed a few days ago on the Iroquois from engine failure.
It sounds like the Victories are going to be given up once the lease expires, even though the deal is the CDF would buy them for one pound each at the end. Not every day you get about two billion dollars worth of modern SSK's for 4 pounds.

Oh, and let's not forget about how a few months ago he spent millions replacing the goverment planes when one had to make a emergency landing with him on it.

Don't they have the reputation of the world's most tightly packed formation of flying pieces of engineering?

I couldn't agree more. I don't support an un-sanctioned war, but by god I'll support our troops.
Oh, and Skimmer - warstocks? This is the Australian military we're talking about.
