I'd like to know when it became customary to post a thread on hitting a posting mark rather than making a note of it in the relevant (or subsequet) posts as a sidebar.

The only post I celebrated was my 1000th one, and that was after the fact. I also made it a fun self-deleting thread for that post so that people would respond to it and then lose posts. That was fun.

Yeah and you got 1800 now. You got a lot of posts really quick. When you came back you only had about 200 posts. How many posts a day would you say you have been posting since you came back?

There's an average of two '1000 post' threads a week, at least, since the time I joined...

I had 336 when I came back, and for the full run downs of Post averages look here, my second post about 2/3 the way down the first page.

of course- i did it when i became a jedi council member etc too, but they got locked as well.

Might I make a suggestion, create a Landmark post thread, Sticky it and then if People feel like celebrating it they can post in there and stop the spam threads.

Hmmm. There's an idea. My concern isn't so much spam threads, it's the spam posts within them. I'll bring it to my senior Sith Lords before taking any sticky action.
