Let's make it official...

Ok, let's make this official. I nominate the word "growelling" to be voted as an official word in the SD.Net forums. It has been appearing in some thread and I think we should give it some special meaning (kinda like "groveling" but not exactly). What do you think? Useless? Thought-provoking? Whatever, just vote or something.

I think SPLUNGE should be made a word. Cookie to who can get that reference.

Yeah, as in "stop growelling!" or "you growel too much".

Everyone else butchers the English language. Why can't we?

If you pronounce "growel" phonetically, it sounds exactly like "growl", which is already a word.

Let's us butcher the English language.
I say YEPPEI! :P (which means 'yes' to those of you who do not speak Ohioan English :) )

Sure, why not? Languages are fluid creatures. Let's leave trying to restrict linguistic growth to the pedantic grammarians and old folks uncomfortable with change.

So? We already have many homonyms, what's one more? Besides, one need not "pronounce it phonetically" at all. What's wrong with words that are used only in written English?

Hey,fuckgrowel! Vote for splunge! Splunge is awesome. It means: Yes, No, Not indecisive, ALL IN ONE. Its the word of the gods. So whats my opinion on 'growell'? Splunge.

See how easy that was? :P

We can have Growel and Splunge, and why not "Sklitch" as well (semi-fluid leftovers of a once-edible item).

Is Growel like grovel but with a kind of mean, angry sneer?

The Australian Army has a spork-like device for their field rations. It is a spork with a can opener attached to the handle. It is tiny and hte spoon bowl is barely even an indentation. They call it a FRED: "Fucking Rediculous Eating Device"...

I've used one of those stupid things in cadets (where I also learned how to use a Vietnam era SLR, yay!).

Well it can be one of those special cases, maybe the E is like a "eh" sound

"Grow-eh-ling"

Maybe it should be pronounced "Grow-well-ing", and make it really emphasized, forced, and a tad awkward. Those are the best kind of made-up words.

I want Eight-fingered Smart-ass was a standard term, as well...

I hate those nit-picking Eight-fingered Smart-asses. :x
