I'm so fucking pissed off! (Anti-war protest rant)

Tomorrow, there will be another big anti-war protest in NYC. Because of that, there were stickers on the walls of my school all last week. I'm all for freedom of assebly, so I was ok with that. Today, however, when I came into the school, I found that the floor of every staircase was covered with the following leaflets (note the errors in grammar)
STRIKE because “shock and awe” means that an estimated 500,000 civilian casualties in the first 2 days of war alone (“There will not be a safe place in Baghdad…rather like Hiroshima”- H. Ullman, U.S. military planner) STRIKE because what would you have done if you’d know about Hiroshima before it happened? STRIKE because lives are worth it STRIKE because they’re sending young people to die in the desert while they sit in comfort of their offices and mansions STRIKE because CUNY/SUNY tuition hikes of 50% and doing away with student aid is an attempt to force you into the military to fight for their oil. STRIKE In memory of the 3,000 on Sept. 11 STRIKE for our generation STRIKE to become more human STRIKE to end imperialism in our lifetime STRIKE because blood is more important than oil STRIKEbecause they’re trying to squeeze the life out of you STRIKE!
That pissed me off incredibly. First of all, any student who walks out from
our school will be in all kinds of trouble with our fascist administration. Those fucktards who "distributed" the leaflets knew that, but they didn't care. Second of all, the way in which the leaflet was spread was the RL analog of spam. In addition to being a pile of steaming bullshit, those leaflets were actually a safety hazard, since people could slip on them while running down the stairs.
Finall, there were
TWO RALLIES IN THE SAME DAY! What does that mean? It means that they don't care about the students, they only want media attention. The only reason why they want high school students is so the protests look like the Vietnam wa protests.
Fuck the organizers of the fucking protest. I'm against the war, but this pisses me off incredibly.
I hope that tomorrow when they hold these rallies, there will be a suicide bombing, so that those fucktards see whom they're defending.
Have a very nice day.

Yes, we should strike because our life is being squeezed out of us by the government. As opposed to the people who might actually try to kill us.

STRIKE because “shock and awe” means that an estimated 500,000 civilian casualties in the first 2 days of war alone
Where did they get this number?
(“There will not be a safe place in Baghdad…rather like Hiroshima”- H. Ullman, U.S. military planner)
Here's the actual quote: "You have this simultaneous effect, rather like the nuclear weapons at Hiroshima, not taking days or weeks but minutes." -H. Ullman.
Those lying fucks.
STRIKE because what would you have done if you’d know about Hiroshima before it happened?
Nothing, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the subsequent surrender of Japan saved much more American and Japanese lives than it killed.
STRIKE because lives are worth it
Sentimental bullshit
STRIKE because they’re sending young people to die in the desert while they sit in comfort of their offices and mansions
oh, now it's all
their fault.
STRIKE because CUNY/SUNY tuition hikes of 50% and doing away with student aid is an attempt to force you into the military to fight for their oil.
WTF?
I have seen all kinds of worthless drivel before, but this one takes the cake. So, apparenty SUNY is raising the tuition cost to get everyone into the military.
It's all a government conspiracy, you see? Nothing to do with the economy. My god, that is pathetic.
STRIKE In memory of the 3,000 on Sept. 11
3,000 DEAD on Sept. 11? Is that whatthey were trying to say? Errors in grammar on a propaganda leaflet. Those stupid fucks didn't even bother to proofread their bullshit.
STRIKE for our generation
And for which generation are we supposed to strike? For us, the high school students, or us the 45 yr. old hippie potheads that are organizing this?
STRIKE to become more human
Oh, sure, failing a class will make me more human.
STRIKE to end imperialism in our lifetime
oh sure, do a walkout, and all imperialism will end, all the bad people will go away, and there will be world peace and free pot everywhere.
STRIKE because blood is more important than oil
They are opposed to war, and they are opposed to drilling in ANWR. So, where do we get the oil?
STRIKE because they’re trying to squeeze the life out of you STRIKE!
I won't even bother comenting on this one.
What fucktards.
Have a very nice day.

I am seriously considering going to one of these rallies and carrying a sign that says:
War has never solved anything!
(Except for stopping fascism, communism, and slavery, and bringing freedom to oppressed people)
or:
Drop Bombs, Not Bullsh*t!

400 missles a day at civilians? ROFL!
And if the US government is so bad and evil, why will they care what some dipshit college students say?

STRIKE because Saddam is a dictator! STRIKE to defend our national interests! STRIKE to ensure stability! STRIKE to protect our allies!
STRIKE hard, STRIKE fast, STRIKE with B-52s and the 101st Airborne!

You don't see many pro war, pro military rallies because people who support those things have JOBS.

No, because stupid people dont know how to organize rallies, therefore, no pro-war rallies.

March 5th their an organized walkout at my college. Anyone not supporting the war effort are supposed to walk out of class and go to a little rally at our duck pond... exactly what these people should be doing with the lecture time that costs several hundred...
On top of that these anti-war asses write all over with chalk, post bulletins everywhere, and walk around handing out flyers... I'm really starting to consider breaking several parts of the Geneva convention on the next prick that trys to force a flyer on me...

They do that here too.
I did laugh when I came across a few chalk drawings saying "NUKE IRAQ!" and "SADDAM AIN'T DA MAN!" and so on. It added variety.

I'm not too sure if a full-cale war on Iraq would be the best option, but I'm more anti-protestor than I am anti-war. They're a bunch of attention whores, and make headlines every day.

Jesus Fucking Christ Ted, you ever wonder why you have the title obnoxious?
What the fuck would you do to solve this shit Ted? I mean, you are soooo god damn smart, obviously high above anyone that posts here. So, all high and mighty high school student, can we bask in the warm glow of your wisdom and save the earth?

Some students at my school are also organizing a walkout for tomorrow. Ordinarily I'd like to watch, but I have a class to attend.

I wonder, if people are that easy to convince that war is wrong and all, then perhaps it's equally easy to convince them into doing lots of other things.
Maybe someone should start some kind of "Save the Poor Africans" thing and gather all these militant people. Then have them fly over to the most ebola-infested region of Africa.
I'm with freedom of protest, but not like how people are doing recently.

Did you read Ted's post?
Anyway, I know that not all people against war in Iraq are againg hippies. Not even everyone at your typical protest fits that discription. However, it seems the most annoying ones that aggrivate others fit that description.
