Cool Commercial

Post by jegs2 »

Just saw a commercial for the movie, Old School:

"The Miami Herald calls Old School, 'Pointless, stupid and offensive'. We say, 'Who cares?'"

I've got to admit -- I had no intention of seeing that movie, but I so liked the commercial that I may see it now.

If you're gonna watch commercials, at least watch funny ones.

with that, I give you Terry Tate, "office Linebacker."

I LOVE it when movie commercials showcase the bad reviews. I can't remember what other movie's done it (Howard Stern's Private Parts maybe?) but it always impresses me the way they say "fuck the critics".

Which reminds me, I think it's pretty sad if a movie can't put any better critic reviews on its ad than "***1/2 - a thrill ride".

Truthfully, Old School was pretty funny. A hell of a lot funnier than most of the recent college movies.

I also like the Old School commercial where it claims to be nominated for x amount of awards, shifts to one of the cast members giving a sappy speech about how great it is to be nominated, then shifts back to a different number of awards. It's funnier when you see it.

I like the Universal Business adapter, makes me laugh each time. I don't think we got the Pixie Dust one though.

Pity you guys never get to see the John Smith Beer adverts, they are funny as fuck.

The other movie commercial I really liked was for one of the Austin Powers movies a few years ago. The comercial went something like this:

IF YOU SEE ONE MOVIE THIS YEAR, SEE ..............

STAR WARS

IF YOU SEE TWO MOVIES THIS YEAR, SEE ....

AUSTIN POWERS

I really like the IBM commercials, they are funny. The time travel one is funny. "You go first!" :)

Those Terry Tate commercials are fricking funny too. Although, Ive never seen one outside of the website.

Anyone remember seeing the SmartBeep commercial where a girl gets in the car and blows a fart. Only to find out there already where people in the back seat?
