Can I immigrate from the US to Canada? I have heard that people here have been moving up there at unusually high rates in the past year. I am just curious.

How would I go about doing that?

Actually, my fiance' and I plan to move to the UK after I finish my education.

<sarcasm>No, we closed the border some time ago on account of too many terrorists slipping through.</sarcasm>

Why would you think that you wouldn't be able to immigrate? It's not as if we're a closed country.

Look for immigration.

Can we Arizonans send our elderly to you for the summer months the way we recieve yours during the winter? It would kinda even the score. They could avoid the brutal heat, enjoy your campgrounds, and share their hazardous driving skills with you Albertans and Saskatchewanians(?) the way yours do us.

Hey hey hey! Elderly people are Canada's finest export, next to comedians who are actually funny, actors who actually look good in speedos, and singers who can actually hit number one on the charts more than once. ;)

I do not recognize Celine Dion as Canadian. Or for that matter, as human.

I meant no insult, really. I'd rather deal with a nice Canadian couple down for the winter than those ASSHOLES from Minesota, their strident accents, the way they literally will push you out of the way with a grocery cart, and the way they will blame you for bad weather. Nothing like smiling and letting an old lady get in line ahead of you in the store, and then have her start in with"Why is it so cloudy, huh? I came down here for the sun, so why's it so cloudy? Huh?" Sorry I was nice to you, bitch.

If I remember correctly, you told me you're a newly promoted 1LT, so you'd probably find it hard to immigrate while you hold a commission -- even in the National Guard.

But aren't just about all comedians Canadian anyway?

As for the singers, I don't know many Canadian musicians, and I'm sure Celiene Dion is the only thing Canadians are more ashamed of than the Quebecois, right?

Not forgetting Nickelback or the Tragically Hip or Prozak.

As for comedians, we had just packloads of them, ranging from Carrey to Ackroyd and M.J.Fox.

And we export a lot of hot-bodied women, come to think of it, like Pam Anderson and Shannon Tweed.

I'd like to. They suck.

And nobody's mentioned The Tea Party. They have talent.

I'm in my thirties. I grew up on Shannon Tweed semi-nude movie shots played in grainy glory on a VCR, with the lot of us camped out in my friend's basement pausing the movie and trying to figure out if we saw shadows of a lousy camera quality, or a nipple.

She is still hot as far as I'm concerned.
