How can I get this certain avatar?

I would like a picture of Superman, from Superman 3, that shows him sitting in the bar drinking whiskey. Do you know what I am talking about? The one where he has a five O clock shadow and flicks peanuts into the booze bottles.
I cannot find this anywhere. Can I make it?

You need the DVD, a player, and a capture card.
Either that or a DVD player programme for PC that has a frame capture feature.

Ok, I have the DVD with the player, and I tried to copy the screen by pressing the "print screen" feature. I tried pasting it onto a word page but I only got a big black box.
How can save the image and what program do I use to open it?

You have to find a way to crank your hardware acceleration down as low as it goes. That should enable you to use the print-screen method.

I don't get it. I turn down the hardware acceleration? Which program should I use to open the captured screen? Paint? Word?

You could download a illegal copy of either PowerDVD or WinDVD4 and a crack off of Kazaa (ick) or WinMX, but you would be risking getting a virus.

Buy a Hercules GameTheatre XP. It comes with PowerDVD and it's a kickass sound card

There are technical reasons for that. Just trust me when I say that you need a specialized DVD software package that can take screenshots, and that nothing you do with your screengrabber will work.

Ok, I am downloading Power DVD and Norton has already found a virus. It said that it repaired the file, so hopefully it will work.

You better pray that it did.
When I downloaded WinDVD4, it had at least one virus that corrupted my OS so bad that I had to format my hard drive.

Naw, I can usually catch them on the download. The worst thing that happens is that the stupid program won't work after downloading for 2 days with a 56K modem.

Just letting you know that it could have missed one, and you won't know about it until a few months later when your OS self-destructs.
Enjoy!!

Argh! Don't do warez with viruses!!! Either find a clean one or (preferably) buy it.

Oh yeah? You know what I am going to do? I am going to burn this directly on to a CD and then install it on my girlfriend's computer! My computer will be perfectly safe!
Bwaaaa hah.... bwaaaa haha... bwaaaa hahahaahahahaa
Spankster, I realize that you're upset about your OS but don't get all pessimistic here! Try to be positve!

Heh, I'm not bitter. Before the format, I was able to transfer ~90% of everything importent over to Utsanomiko's new computer, and only lost a few
Dragon Ball Z movies and fansubbed episodes, which were too big to transfer.
Mike is right, either find one virus-free or just break down and buy the damn thing.
That's what I'm planning to do for WinDVD4, but then the Eva Chogokins arrived on the scene...

Hehe...
I just PM'd the Kazaa user and said, "Hey asshole, your Power DVD has a virus. You are spreading viruses, you dick." He cut me off.

So... you do pirate software. Hmm... oh well you haven't been bitching at me for about a week, so *shrug*
Anyways, yeah it is stupid to pay 40+ $ for something just so you can capture a screenshot a few times.
There's a shareware program called Hypersnap that MIGHT be able to do this if your DVD player uses DirectX. Or you can try to turn down hardware acceleration.

My girlfriend has the PC with the DVD player. It's a cheaper Compaq system. When I turn the hardware acceleration down, even by one notch, the DVD player won't play. I can get sound, but no images.

That was the only fucking time I ever DLed a programme and a crack, Plutonium.
And I used it more then "just a few times". I have at least 30 screen-caps on my hard drive. I was planing on buying it eventually, and I still do.
So just take your anti-capitalist BS and shove it up your 15YO ass, kid.

Explain why I'm anticapitalist. You have accused me of this and have never provided evidence. Otherwise:
SHUT THE FUCK UP
