I don't think they have any doubt that she will make it - the whole song is about how she's come to save America, "take it back" from those nasty liberals and throw them all in jail (after shooting some skunk, apparently).

Maybe it mean's she'll bring the Alaskan weather with her, and "cool things down" by making everyone calmer. It's bollocks, but they clearly OD'd on hyperbole anyway so why not?

Personally, I love it if she took a run at office. Hopefully, she would damage her brand of right-wing loneliness beyond repair for a decade or so (and provide a inadvertently hilarious campaign).

She won't win. I'd be surprised if she won the primary, simply because she is a complete fucking moron. Or at the very best, comes off as one. Yeah she might be popular with the extreme right wing idiots or the folks that want to pork her but what does she bring to the table that the GOP can use? And unless she gets someone to where a Palin suit, she'll never get through one televised debate or honest interview.
