Not just to hit, no. And if they hit me first and it's not too much of a threat/problem/whatever, then no again.

If I have to defend myself however, then yes. But that goes for ANYONE who tries to hit me, not just girls. Morals go out the window if I'm defending myself or a shipmate/friend. I'd even kill them if it was necessary.

No, unless your life is seriously in danger. Other than that, you ought to abstain from hitting girls. Roughing around with a little sister when you're a small child is OK.

Its strange some of them don`t know what they want if you hit one she will say you`re not a man but if you don`t hit her she will say you`re not a man.

What's the big differece between hitting a girl vs hitting a guy anyway? Just coming up and hitting ANYONE for no reason is bad enough. Why is it worse to hit a girl, especially since some of the girls I have seen are FAR more violent than any guy, probably due to this notion (they can hit and "get away with it").

Defense I can see; you gotta do what you gotta do. Just for an insult, no. Why give them the satisfaction? Just ignore their dumb ass or make a really good comeback. And notice I didn't say just self defense. Someone else is getting smacked around, especially someone you know, then you can help 'em. I cans ee that as justified. Anything else, just don't see the point.

Sure it's OK, then again I *am* a girl so that takes the sex part out of the equation. Not exactly helpful is it....

I see no difference on whether they are a man or a woman. Hitting anyone for no reason is bad enough, doesn't matter if they are a man or woman.

In my case, if it's okay for me to hit a guy back, it's has to be okay to hit a girl back. Both could equally kick my 125-pound ass.

Hit a girl? I wouldn't do that even if she was a real bitch..., unless she was a big fat lumbering lurd that was a real bitch and liked acting like a guy.

Has nothing to do with sex or gender. You use the least amount of force necassary to resolve the conflict. If a short pop to the nose will end a situation quicker and easier than a prolonged scratch-fest that results in you getting alot of battle scars, then pop the bitch. If standing there and taking it like a man is quicker and easier to resolve the situation, then so be it. Some times, pure brute force is required, but those instances are few and remote and usually include life threatening circumstances so should not be included here.

Do sisters count? I think I've roughed her up on more than one occasion. Mostly because she can be a real bitch sometimes.

I think it's just as wrong to hit a girl as it is to hit a guy. For me to hit a girl, I'd have to be in the same situation I'd be in if I was hitting a guy (e.g. defending myself from attack, other justified combat, etc.).

Of course. If I'm in a situation where force is necessary, I'm going to behave the same whether it's a male or female.
