Well, folks, it seems the bastard who burned down my office has been caught. *dances in happiness*
But what really peeves me is that this boy is only 14!

He confessed just a few hours ago.

That is good the guy got caught, I guess it is not much of a surprise its a troubled kid. Are you planning on going after his parents for losses?

Hell no. It's not the parent's fault. Turns out they were away while this kid did this. And the cops said he had no history of crime whatsoever, so the parent's trusted him. Second reason why I'm not gonna go after them is that our company got a 60,000 dollar loan! The new office will cost about 30,000, and the computers and copiers, scanners, funriture, etc, wil cost about 25,000 more. The rest is more or less for miscellanous stuff, i.e
electricity bills, internet acess, utilites, etc, for roughly 5 or 6 years.
Heh. That's one of the advantages of being a company like this one.

60,000 loan? Is that the insurance payment? There was no deductable or is the 60K include the deductable?

What about criminal charges? The kid needs to be punished in some form even if he is still a "good kid" at heart.

Yeah, I thought about this. Assuming the kid made a huge mistake and wont do anything like that again, is it suitable to have him work off his troubles in this way?

Have his ass build houses for the homeless and such so he can see just how much effort it takes to build dwellings, that little fucker.

The loan comes straight from the state. We had a paltry 10,000 insurance policy on the building.
The kid will be charged (as a minor) with arson and will be sent to juvie for a couple month,s or so I'm told. He'll probably do some community service as well.
