There was some episiod which had an old steam engine hiding from scrappers in what looked like a bombed out factory. I could see that scaring kids.
Though I doubt anyone has acutally suffered from seeing all the crashes. Now a bit of CGI to add bodies could change all that..... Maybe the producers should take a page from “The Train” and have Thomas racing for a tunnel to hide from strafing fighters, before the marshling yard gets flattened by bombers.

That, while entertaining, would probably do a great deal when it comes to killing off the next generation of somewhat sane kids.

Fine, we can produce an adult version with 1970's Diesels and 50's Chinese steam engines and set it in Angola or some other shit hole. Smuggling, constant fighting, flatcars in front of the engines to set off the mines. Rockets from attack heilcopters. Another option is 1983, WW3 rail. Is that F-111 about to drop the brigade ahead of us?
All sorts of fun on the railways.

Always good fun. There where a couple duals between Russian and German armored trains during the war. Probably among the wars most ridiculous actions.

Is it just me, or is "Death On Rails" a good name for a Trash Metal band??

That's a very Strowbridge post.
If we can give Thomas and his... uh, military transport locomotive friends huge mortars then it'll only add to the fun!

He makes lots of posts with more or less that exact content, when it comes to band names.
BTW, Random Band Name Of Week: Gasoline Nipples.

He always saw obscure phrases like "Burning Diarrhoea" and commented on them becoming some sort of band. In some way, I believe artists are out there watching what he says so they actually can make such names.

Actually, a lot of stuff make good band names. For example, PETA once mockingly called Burger King "Murderking." And incidentally, Murderking would be a nifty name for a black metal band. Bloody toy crowns, which were part of that PETA campaign, also made me think of "Bloodcrown", which would also make a good name for a metal band.
No, I do not endorse the PETA (in fact, I believe their
real purpose to be not the reduction of animal suffering, but making all vegetarians look like misanthropic hypocrits), but some of their ad campaigns would be good inspiration for Black Metal/Death Metal band names.

I want a death metal band to name themselves PETA.

Okay. I take it kids aren't going to be affected by the concept of trains that are alive and then they see the train crashes that happen in real life.

ROFL! This is a load of bollocks. Last Sunday I took my little bro to a Thomas The Tank Engine days at Didcot and all the kids wanted to go on the train MORE because it was Thomas...

If anything, that Hollywood monstrosity of a film with Alec Baldwin in would scare more than any train wreck, even if the film was a train wreck metaphorically speaking.

There's already a death metal band called Carcass, which is renowned for having an exclusively vegetarian line-up. But I'm not sure whether PETA endorse them.

That thing was slow as shit, a 1930's eara passenger steam engine could keep pace with it in a race.
I'll think of the name soon..

Yeah, but it flew unlike Thomas and co. Try and arm it with a few hellfires and a .50 machine gun and you have a nice li'l 'copter.
Oh, Skimmer, see that news on M.O.A.B. being tested near Florida?
