There are UFO's in that there have been cases in which a flying object can't be identified. But none of them are from outer space.

If you look at the UFO scene as a purely sociological and psychological phenomenon, the subject is genuinely fascinating.
If you look at it as a genuine, physical reality... t's considerably less interesting.
I remember that one of the scientists advising the British government during the '60s suggested that the perfectly normal people seeing UFOs were more interesting and worthy of study than the sightings themselves. I don't think that was meant sneeringly, and I like that comment. Certainly, that kind of thing is what's kept me interested in the subject. Why do we see what we see? And to what extent do we all sub-consciously put our own internal spin on the events around us?

People see UFOs when they are inclined to leap to the most absurd explanation for anything they don't understand. In the case of trailer park trash, the "don't understand" category is extremely large, hence they tend to spot a lot of UFOs.

Besides, if they travelled trillions upon trillions of miles to get here, you'd think they'd anal-probe Jenna Jameson, not Bubba.neoolong wrote:Seriously, I don't think advanced space aliens with FTL propulsion would go around anal probing rednecks and mutilating cows. I would rather have deluded people attribute shit they can't explain to aliens instead of God or Satan. At least aliens aren't really supernatural in nature.

We've already seen that Kane and Kodos have reached the limit of anal probing.neoolong wrote:Seriously, I don't think advanced space aliens with FTL propulsion would go around anal probing rednecks and mutilating cows. Honestly, how much could you possible learn from constant anal probing?

By animals I meant things like weasles and insects that eat out the more tender sections like the mouth and rectum. It's all in the link above, and remember to read the reader comments (particularly the second letter).
It's regular scavengers and decomposition.

I'm generally a little skeptical on the point of UFO sightings - I have seen a lot of UFOs which eventually turned out to be mere Earthling aircraft... but ever heard of the Fast Walker incident??
