Let's say you're the President/PM/Dictator of the strongest nuclear power on the planet. Aliens invade. They seem hell-bent on taking the planet for their own and using humankind as slaves, and it looks as though they're gonna win. You have the option of attempting to strike a deal with the alien invaders, or "BDZ" the planet. (BDZ in that you launch every nuke in your arsenal in an attempt to royally fuck the planet up, you don't have enough firepower to turn the surface to slag.)

What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO???...oops, overacted a bit. Sorry.

One quick question: Do you mean BDZ their planet or my own planet. Just saying "the planet" is kind of confusing.......

Your own planet. Assume that the aliens are technologically superior in that they can invade you, but you can't invade them. So basically, you're saying "Fuck you, if we can't have the planet, no one can."

I don't think an alien civilization capable of destroying us is going to be interested in compromise. So we might as well go down in the history of their civilization as the one people that wasn't content to be their slaves, the same way the Jews at Masada went down in Roman history.

In that case, I would attempt to strike a deal. BDZ-ing my own planet seems a little extrme to me....

go for the deal, then break it and guerilla warfare my way out.

BDZ after they have taken over. That way you actually get to kill aliens.

Then again that would not be a problem for the aliens since they can simply ship food in for their own populace.

How about all the anti-slave people just kill themselves and let the rest of us work as slaves?
