The associated press is saying on the news, that Elizabeth Smart a 14 year old girl that has been missing since June 5th 2002 has been found today not 20 miles from her home.

Can't find an article on it yet but its on the news on TV. Not to sound negitive, but I thought her dead long ago. Sounds like some good news for the Smart family if it is confirmed and true.

Yah, I just saw this on Fox (unfortunately; it was just on while we had dinner). Alive and well apparently.

15 year old now, if I'm not mistaken. Just heard it on the radio. I think she was found in the car of somebody who used to work at her house.

I heard this on the car radio coming home. At first I could not remember who this was, then I was like. "WOW! I had figured she was never coming home."
Well, Im glad for the family.

That's quite incredible. I hope whoever kidnapped her will get ass-raped good in jail, and she'll recover from the trauma of being missing for 9 months.

If your talking about the workman that worked at their house, it wasn't him. He died in jail of a brain hemorage while on trial for another offense as the prime suspect.

She was found with a woman and some kook calls himself Emmanuel, whom the family hired to work on their roof. He supposedly lived in teepees and considered himself a prophet of the homeless

What I wonder is why would her family even hire such a wacko for any kind of job and at their home of all places.

Cheap labor, from what I understand. The other guy, Ricci who died in jail, was also hired by the Smarts to do odd ball jobs around the house. Seems to fit a pattern for the family, one of misguided philanthropy. I feel really sorry for the family for this whole ordeal, but if you are going to bring a bunch of "down on your luck" people around your house, you should have some security measures in place. A DOG would have worked nicely, that or turn on the security sytem that I am sure that they have.

Her being alive suprised me. To just settle some confusion, she was 14 when she was kidnapped and is now 15.
