Hellsing

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

I've just seen the first episode of this fairly new animé series and am eagerly getting more, it's like an animé of Devil May Cry but with, dare I say it, more style. 8)

As far as vampire series go, this one looks set to rival Ultraviolet.

P.S.

I WANT that custom gun, I just found out the church where the silver bullets were made from the cross is barely an hour's drive from me. :P

Hellsing is a truly good anime. Too bad there isn't more of it.

Probably not. The later eps of Hellsing diverted from the Manga so much, it will probably be impossible to recover/
I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

Last I heard, there's going to be a second series, and this time it will follow the manga. IMHO the manga version is so much better than the anime.

Hellsing is an amazing series. Walter and Alucard simply rock...

The manga's better anyways. I just wish I could get hold of a complete volume 4

And translations of 3... and 4.

Several groups have picked up where Crunchy Cheese left off in translating the Manga. IIRC, Random Manga Translations is already up to v3c5.

Hmm, from what I've heard any second series would pick up where the current series left off. Then again I suppose it's possible that it's all just rumors at this point.

And I've got all 13 episodes. Damn good series. Alucard kicks ass.

I've added his glasses to my list of animé glasses I want along with Gendo Ikari's and Faye Valentine's.

Hmmm, my friend George's got a pair that looks just like Alucards. Some $50-60 Rayban ones if I'm not mistaken.

No. I'm not going to mug a friend to give you his glasses.

Look in a Rayban catalogue or something. You'd probably be able to find them.

Heh, gonna watch eps 3 and 4 tonight. The second episode seems like the first Bebop ep, the Japanese have a thing for Bonnie and Clyde (a certain tenchi Universe ep comes to mind as well).

One minor niggle, we don't have highways in Ingerlund, they're referred to as motorways. So having a Route 17 signpost where the M5 motorway should be is a bit dodgy. :)
