After receiving the same suggestion from two separate people, I am posting this to ask if people think the Duchess should receive a custom title of some sort. Nothing extreme like the ones handed out to white supremacists or assorted trash, but something to indicate her, shall we say, "strongly held" political alignment.

Suggestions welcome.

You do realize that I'm socially very liberal and that this entire thing is purely over the Iraq War? I think those requests are an indication of how polarized the issue has become, nothing more.

So? Frankly she's hardly an extremist. We've had much worse here and much less coherent that have never recieved a title.

I don't think it's necessary to brand her merely for having an opinion contrary to several other people's.

Anythign that would indicate her schizophrenic quasi-fascist views would be fine by me.

It isn't just that.

It's the fact that she is a complete hypocrite, along with her praise for fascists like Pinochet that is the reason why she's getting branded.

I don't think she was praising Pinochet as much as she was embracing the lesser evil.

Actually, I wouldn't mind being called a "Turkish harem-girl." Considering the Sultan was generally busy and had a rather large number of wives and concubines he didn't visit a single one of them - unless he had a particular favourite - all that often. Contrary to popular misperception harems were pretty boring places, and furthermore the eunuchs, though they couldn't perform, couldn't perform that well.

*grins* Want to guess what they did in their spare time? So, I'd probably either choose a harem or an abbey if I was going to get stuck in the 15th century. Probably the best places available for female homosexuals at the time.

I don't think that the title need be that bad. Just something that'll let her position be known.
