"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

That was the ONLY good part. Ah, most of it was pretty good, if you like Shakespeare though. I was never a huge fan. Ceaser and McBeth are pretty good. Reminds me, I need to go find copies of those.

Possible. But highly unlikely. We had a debate on this in World Masterpeices and most of the evidence for it is shakier than a 75 year old skier on speed.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:Also, isn't it true that Shakespeare may have been bi?
It was racy for back then and Shakepeare was racier than most of his comteperaries.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Shakespeare was considered trashy lowbrow entertainment for his era. The leading playwright and his fans looked down on Shakespeare and his fans, but have vanished into the mists of time (well, not literally; his name is still known, but nobody gives a shit about him).
Of course, if history repeats itself, this means that "Married with Children" will be studied in universities 300 years from now, while Shakespeare lies forgotten on the dust heap of history.

Shakespeare wrote very few stage directions. It's almost impossible to know exactly how he wanted to portray things like that on stage. However, he (like many authors of his time) wrote pornography by the definition of the word used at the time.Hameru wrote:Juliet had huuuuuuuuuge headlights in that movie

I had a comment written on my paper of what I think of Shakespeare from my teacher saying "maybe you just need to understand it more" or something of the like and i'm lacking a response to it....
Any good suggestions?
Besides not being able to understand a freakin word written without looking for a translating book..... would be appreciated

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Maybe it would help if you posted your paper on another thread, so that I could actually see what your instructor meant by the comment.Soontir C'boath wrote:Not to bring up a dead thread without a good intention.Darth Wong wrote:Shakespeare was considered trashy lowbrow entertainment for his era. shakespeare is a travesty to the written language having to study him in school probably makes someone more against him than normal having to analyse his crap, but even on a normal basis its all pretty much crap. srry to any shakespeare fans

Actually wouldn't people start to think that the stories were true? I think it's happened before, a lot to do with the Trojan War. Though it would be nice to study Married With Children, but imagine how over-analysed it would become.Darth Wong wrote:Of course, if history repeats itself, this means that "Married with Children" will be studied in universities 300 years from now, while Shakespeare lies forgotten on the dust heap of history.
