Four years ago today....

....I was checked into the hospital for "Acute Diabetes". Spent a week there, weighed 138 lbs, wich is 64 lbs underweight for a guy of my stature, and would have been dead in a few days if I hadn't gone.
Let's hear it for insulin!
Let's NOT hear it for my traitorous pancreas!

Six foot four inches. When I meet the occasional person who's taller than me, I get intimidated as hell. Being so used to being head and shoulders above the crowd makes one susceptible to the
real freaks.

Well, stem-cell research and cloning laws seem more liberal over there, yes

Yay! Modern medicine! Ain't it grand? Happy for you man that you got effective treatment in time. Many people in the US actually go diagnosed for diabetes for a long time which is scary.

A good friend of mine had his gall-bladder removed two years ago and he dropped from 220lbs to 168lbs. He always joked that the only good thing to come out of that experience was that he lost weight but he wouldn't recommend the diet for anyone.
Glad to hear that you conquered. BTW, if you don't mind me asking you Frank has your weight gone back to it's normal, healthy level?
