The release cycle for the enterprise and the free RH Linux has been split, allowing releases to go faster on the lower end versions. It also includes native threading built into the kernel. This will not be available on official versions of the kernel until v2.6

RH is losing a bit of money- however profits will likely increase, unlike Mandrake....

Everybody here appears to have a low opinion of Madonna
(the song is antiwar too  ), but at least she has better business sense than the RIAA.

Free fonts so you don't need the fonts that come with Windows. You have to get them sometime later though.

And I didn't know Barcodes needed fonts

Yeah, I noticed that about RH. Hopefully they'll come out with RH8.x as well, because RH8 is a bit buggy. RH9, of course, risks binary incompatibility (hence why they changed it from 8.0.93 -> 9.0) so I won't be upgrading for a bit.

As for fonts, that's a good thing, though Microsoft's Core Web Fonts are more or less the de-facto standard (and they are rather good for onscreen work). And yes, barcodes often use a typeface for generation.
