My trip to D.C. has been cancelled because of the war.
All trips to the U.S.A. have been cancelled.
However, the French trip to France is still on.
DAMN THAT STINKING BUSH.

And this is his fault how? Was there a flight restriction or something that I didn't hear about?

Because of the war, the TDSB has banned all trips to "Risk Zones". Eg USA and Iraq. Because there are no trips to Iraq, means the only trips cancelled were the US ones.
If Bush hadn't gone to war, or had delayed it to mid-April, I would've been able to go.

No, I'm speaking for those in my classes who can't go to DC because of the war.

Ted, if it makes you feel any better,
I can fly to Washington D.C. and will likely do so in the next couple of months. I'll be happy to look around for you.

Had he known about it, I'm sure he would have changed his plan.

Sorry. Phoenix is a stated Al-Qaeda target, but I don't feel especially at risk. It's an over-reaction I think.
My younger brother's French class went to Paris in '85, the French police threw 'em on a plane home when there was a report of a Lybian "death squad" on the way there looking for an American group of HS students. Mom liked to shit herself.

You should be blaming the dumbasses at the TDSB for coming up with a policy that's more retarded than "zero-tolerace". If the Americans said "you Canadians aren't welcome here" then you could put a link back to Bush, but that's not the way things are. The blame lies solely with the pricks at the TDSB who have their heads stuck so far up their asses that they could actually come up with something this dumb.

Ted angry at not being able to visit the US? Course, he blames Bush rather then the morons who actually created the restriction.

Good question. I think this belongs to OT. Ted's aborted school trip to the US does not qualify as high level international politics.

Hey, Ted, just now figuring out that the world doesn't revolve around you?
Welcome to reality.
Honestly, I consider national security a bit more important than your trip to D.C.

Blah, all trips this year from my school have been canceled, aslo. I live in Florida, right next to Orlando (with all it's theme parks), but can't go to any of them because they are (quote from asst. pricnipal) "potential terrorist targets". I personally don't think people would consider Universal Studios a target for bombing (or whatever the hell a T would decide to do), but it's the higher-ups opinion that matters, even if the assholes are usually wrong. Damn school board...

That's too bad. You might have seen that everyone in DC doesn't have a pitch-fork tail and horns.
My little sister's trip to Washington got cancelled too. Shit happens but I doubt Bush even knows you exist much less started a war to deny your trip.

On the one hand, you won't go to Washington, home of many museums, historical monuments, interesting buildings, and the Library of Congress.
On the other hand, you won't go to Washington, home of insane crime rates, a huge terrorist attack risk-factor, the US government, and Marion Barry. So it's not all bad.

Ted, you could always go to some tropical island in the Pacific...

I personally think it's dumb that they're cancelling school trips in fear of a terrorist attack. Students from Canada on a field trip are no more of a target than the thousands of tourists that visit the area.
