Apparently it's like Left Behind, in that its about a world after the Rapture, but dealing more in a more human perspective.

If they stay true to the book (which was in my opinion ..meh) It’s not a "Rapture" show.. more like "holy fuck a random 140 million from all over the world, ranging from the new born innocent to the hardened criminal. From most devote religious to the most adamant atheist upped and disappeared ::poof:: " It shows the authors opinion on how some would cope with that.
