Ok, for those that have WW and are playing it(I'm still early on in the game, I just got the boomerang) I think I may of just realized something.
Well, the bird is going out looking for girls with long ears, and is working for ganondorf. Long ears + women == decentant of Zelda, I think Ganon is trying to recover the full triforce by finding a the greatxWhatever grandaughter of Zelda.

Well, DUH! They did the whole descendants of the Wise Men thing (who happened to be all girls BTW) in Link to the Past too.anarchistbunny wrote:Well, the bird is going out looking for girls with long ears, and is working for ganondorf. Both of you are a little off, as I have just watched a major plot revelation.

That and don't read any Miyamoto interviews.
But ignoring it, because who knows what'll do to my head as story wise.
Even still the game is enjoyable.

Well, did a lot today, I was very surprised at the twist to those that have played the recent ones that you didn't go inot Jaban to get 3rd Pearl and that the 3rd dungeon was opened by it. Got the Master Sword, Hurricane Spin(which as shifted this Link over Adult Link as most powerful Link ever) Bomb upgrade, both Wallet upgrades, and got the deed to the Cabana.
Just wondering...has there EVER been a Link without the Master Sword?anarchistbunny wrote:... Master Sword, ...
And why doesn't he just keep the blasted thing?

He kept it in Zelda 2.
Course discounting those godawful Philips CD-i games...I believe each Link has attained the Master/White Sword.

And you made fun of me in the second post of the thread. THe only Links that are the same are 1&2(I think, don't know 2's story very well) OoT and MM, the oracles, and maybe LA and LttP, and those 4 aren't the same. So Link does keep the master sword, he dies and he returned to it's pedistal sometime during his life. OoT Link couldn't keep the Master Sword, either cause he would return to the future, or he would reopen the seal and let Ganon out. If LttP and LA link are the same, then he returns it before he goes to see, or (unlikely) it's the sword you start out with. If they aren't then that Link doesn't get the Master Sword at all. Time progresses between games, lots of time, and in different directions. Zelda 1 is suppose to be the ultimate end to Ganon, all the others(cept maybe 2) take place before it. LttP often refers to past events in OoT, MM and the Oracles take place sometime between, LA fits in just about anywhere, and I have NO fucking idea when WW takes place except after OoT.RogueIce wrote:Just wondering...has there EVER been a Link without the Master Sword?anarchistbunny wrote:... Is there any continuity between the Zelda games?
I personally haven't played one fully through since Link's Awakening. The Wind Waker is seriously tempting me to buy Gamecube, however.

The Insulting has now come full circle, Grasshopper (where the Hell did that come from, anyway? Karate Kid, some Bruce Lee movie, or something else?)...anarchistbunny wrote:And you made fun of me in the second post of the thread.

Well, this topic has been clearly marked as Spoilers, so I think it'll be safe to say this:Durran Korr wrote:Is there any continuity between the Zelda games?

The Great Sea from Wind Waker and Hyrule from Zelda 64 are the same place. You end up in Hyrule Castle partway through WW, and the king reveals that Hyrule was 'sealed away' when the gods flooded Hyrule and created a gigantic ocean in it's stead. You also see a metric crapload of petrified Moblins and such in the castle, as well as a statue of Ocarina of Time Link (which may or may not be his petrified body). In the very beginning they also mention the Hero of Time (OoT Link), whose example all those kids wearing green are trying to follow.

Nevermind...according to NoA, every Zelda game made since Link's Adventure are actually prequels to the original two. There's a surprise, to me, at least.

Tell me about it man. You think it'll be all fairies and butterflies and crap...then you get to the Castle and it's like you KNOW you're gonna be in deep shit.Ryoga wrote:I should add that when I found out all this, I lost the kind of 'light and cheerful' vibe they had going for the rest of the game.

Re: And...
Take ten knight crests to the swordsman on Outset Island, ofcourse, those armored nights with the big swords give them up when you grapple hook them.(if you didn't know, you can get items by grapple hooking baddies, including joy and skull necklaces, knight crests, and golden feathers)Dalton wrote:Tell me about it man. Not exactly.Durran Korr wrote:Nevermind...according to NoA, every Zelda game made since Link's Adventure are actually prequels to the original two. There's a surprise, to me, at least.
It goes something like this.
OoT is the first. After Oot, it splits up into 2 timelines. The first is the timeline after Ganon was destroyed in the future (Where Hyrule was destroyed). Wind Waker follows on from that. The 2nd Timeline is the traditional timeline, following on from the point where Link returned to the past after defeating Ganon. In that one, OoT is followed by MM, LttP, and so on. (I'd personally place the order at OOt, MM, LttP, Oracles, LoZ, AoL and finally LA, but that's mainly built on speculation. Still, it seems to make sense.)

Re: And...
I see! I knew about grappling enemies for items (that's how I got like 31 Deku Baba seeds). I'll have to work on that then.anarchistbunny wrote:Take ten knight crests to the swordsman on Outset Island, ofcourse, those armored nights with the big swords give them up when you grapple hook them.(if you didn't know, you can get items by grapple hooking baddies, including joy and skull necklaces, knight crests, and golden feathers)Dalton wrote:Tell me about it man. Re: And...
Since just a few of those equals a blue potion, and thier so easy to get, it's a good way to make money, the guy that runs the boat ship buys them for 5 rupies a piece.Dalton wrote:I see! You don't need to grapple hook the knights to get the crests; you can just kick the shit out of them, and they'll drop them.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'
