I have to go up to London this Wednesday for a Care and Support Committee training session on "Holding Effective Meetings"; it starts at 10AM but it'll likely be wrapped up by lunchtime. And since I've been handed a railway warrant rather than them booking tickets for me, for better or worse, there's no particular reason to rush home.
Any ideas for stuff that's worth visiting in the area that's easily accessible on the tube and won't cost me an arm and a leg just to get into?

Things to do in Camden Town on a weekday afternoon
There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do.

The obvious is Camden Lock and the markets, the foods smells are just incredible, try a sheesha pipe and coffee at a turkish cafe as well....Cyberdog is worth a visit, if only for the, um.....interesting adult section. Tentacle dildos for everyone. Or so I seem to recall!

Well, if I go to Cyberdog I'll need a change of clothing; can you imagine the looks I'd get walking in there in a suit?

Take off the tie and jacket and roll up your sleeves. Problem solved.Zaune wrote:Well, if I go to Cyberdog I'll need a change of clothing; can you imagine the looks I'd get walking in there in a suit?

Or wear a light-coloured T-shirt for a undershirt and just peel off the nice shirt. Or have a small tote or briefcase along, tuck a folded-up change of clothes in there. Find a loo and get changed.
Is 'Cyberdog' some kind of nightclub or something? Not sure why you couldn't wear a suit there...

It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Cyberdog is a shop specializing in UV flavour alt life style. A suit would fit right in. Where do you think the city boys shop at lunchtime?

Not well, frankly. I've never seen so many hipsters per square metre in my life, and after a six-hour training seminar on "Effective Meetings" I was in no mood to really appreciate it.
