Got a call at 3 in the morning that they were wheeling my mom, whom is about 2000km away, into emergency surgery. Apparently she had knee surgery 8 days ago and the number one rule for post op care is watch for infection especially since she's diabetic. Guess what she refused to go. Finally last night she passed out and my dad called for an ambulance. When the ER cut open her pants there were red streaks running from her knee all the way up and down her leg.

The doctors going to attempt to remove the source of the infection while at the same time replacing as much blood as possible with fresh blood.
The doctors are not hopeful and saying her chances are slim.

well she's out of surgery and they immediately put her into a medically induced coma, she's not breathing on her own so they have her intubated.

Sorry man. So she went septic, the antibiotics I'm sure they're pumping through her should do the trick as long as not to much damage was done to vital organs prior. I wish you well and hope for the best.
