Wow, can we just pay off death for a bit, just to leave a few important people alive.

What the hell? Is it me or is this sort of thing increasingly common in recent years?

Well, RIP Mr Rickman and thank you. You'll be greatly missed.

frankly I'm not surpriced really, most of these people seemed to born during or within a decade of WWII which was a really large generation so there's alot of celebrities who are of that generation (it doesn't help that alot of the younger celebs don't seem as memorble as the ones from this generation).

still it's a shame to see him go, he had that one specific character type (the intelligent if a bit arrogant bad guy) nailed down perfectly.

Hans Gruber has cracked the time lock to the great vault in heaven.

Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman and "Thank You" for a lot of hours well spent.

Feels like a culling of the Britons is occurring. Keith Richards must be keeping close eye on his philosophers stone!

Rickman just had one of those voices that you always recognised, similar to Tim Curry. I shall continue my Potter marathon tonight!

By Grabthar's Hammer, by the Suns of Worvan, you shall be avenged.

I think I actually saw Rickman in Quigley Down Under before Die Hard. While playing more for Sellick, he did give us, what I consider, one of the best gunfights in movie history. Damn that film is underrated and Rickman really helped sell it.

Loved the guy in pretty much anything. And he wasn't a tight-ass either. It was great to see him in movies like Dogma and Galaxy Quest. And Something the Lord Made goes down as one of my all-time favorite movies as I'm a sucker for those types.

Damn him for cancelling Christmas though.

Bowie and Rickman in the same week...

But on the plus side, Ashley Olsen?

Oh, that's right. Fucking shingles is keeping me from the PC for more than a few minutes at a time and I hate the news as it's worse than it's ever been and I didn't think it could get much worse. But it did... It. Did. :banghead:

I seem to recall that David Margulies, the guy who played the Mayor in Ghostbusters, also died the other day.
