Ugh. Not another one of those sucky POS tear-your-hair-out shoot-em-ups.
You'd have to be some sort of freak.

Did you watch the video? Isn't that the craziest?

I watched it carefully. He really does dodge every colored projectile that comes at him, often twitching his craft into gaps in the incoming fire that a midget dwarf would have trouble squeezing into.
The only time he gets plastered continually is at the final boss fight, and I had a good look at the fire pattern of that boss - there is NO gap, thus no way to avoid being killed every 3.5 seconds. The only way to beat that game, as I see it, would be to survive the whole level without dying, kill the bosses first form without dying, and then pray you had enough extra lives built up to survive the three-minute point-blank unavoidable exchange of fire with the final boss.

He dies a number of times against the end of level boss. No God Mode. Though I have to wonder about the collision detection. Apparently only the central "pod" is vulnerable to attack, even when extended, though a few shots seemed to go straight through him.
EDIT: Damn, crossposted. ^^; Still though, watching it again, I have to admit that even if the collision detection is a bit off like it seems to me, the fact that he's able to move about into all those tiny gaps is simply astounding.

Looking more carefully at the video, I can see you two were right...
Wow.
The enemies must be enough of a challenge without the poor game design Lagmonster mentioned...

Yeah, it's absolutely mind-boggling. You'd have to be a Jedi. Which is why I'm not a big fan of the genre

Neat...now I want an Ikaruga Vid of that level of skill.
Though he did memorize a good portion ...that or he's pre-cognitive.

What game is that?
I have always been a fan of the fast paced top down shooter.
There were some good ones out for the Dreamcast, from what I hear, even though I haven't bought any of them other than Armada.

Thats impossible, even for a computer!

Its a program. Probably the demo program for the game, or a secret video thats hidden, of a program doing it. The movements of the ship are too precise.

I'm not sure. He does exhibit non-computer behavior at times (for example, he considers not shooting one enemy, then decides to finish it anyway. This is right before the final boss appears).
But I'm not entirely sure.

He/She/It does exhibit insane reflexes, and what would have to be super-human eye-sight/width judgement...
I would personally say that it is a computer.

I'd say that isn't a comp, just somebody who is extremely scary. I've seen a clip of the DDR world hamp. Camera has trouble keeping up with his feet. People do some scart and crazy stuff for hobbies.
And I really want to now what game that is, so I can get my ass handed ot me while playing.

My reactions are at least on par with that, maybe better (according to actual testing they're about 95-160msec, whereas normal is 1100-2200msec), however that means jack when your nerves are fried and don't respond quickly or properly, and they're only getting worse as i get older.

And I thought strikers 3 was hard because I keep dying at the first level...
