http://www.daltonator.net/fuq/rpg/index.shtml
It is the early days of ASVS, and the Trekkie Lords Sorobus, Elim, PAUL JACQUES, and TOWNMBS have taken control. Your family, in accordance with interdimensional RPG law, has been slain to remove any responsibilities you, the hero have.
Featuring cameos by many ASVS denizens, as well as Mike Wong, Brian Young, and Curtis Saxton.
And explosions. Many, many, many explosions.

Help for players
Stuck on Jacques? Maybe someone in the Ice Caves has something that would make him a lot easier to defeat.
Stuck with Dalton? I think he wanted a drink from the VeeEss Cantina in EssBee.
Downloading trouble? I managed to download all the files (I had to in order to design the game) + several MB of additional files with my 56k modem. Just use GetRight, or a recent version of Winblows Internet Exploiter that has download resuming.

Naah I figured out what to do after that easy enough know I just beat the boss and am running away in 3 mins and of course I can't run from any of the battles and of course I don't have my main char whos 20 levels higher then everyone else so even with Wong's Smack down its hard

*Sigh silly enough to pick The Ninja and the Priest as they where the two highest leveld ones and with nice area attacks and heals
Except Mr Ninjas area attacks do 1 damage to everything in there and Mr Priest crumples after one hit EVERY battle, and I did not carry NEAR enough items in with me

Damnit, I'm still stuck on the first boss. How many hit points does Elim have?? I must have done at least 200 damage to him without taking any to my heroes and he still ended up winning.

This is what I did, with Poe, Chuck (the priest), Wong & I:Mr Bean wrote:Except Mr Ninjas area attacks do 1 damage to everything in there and Mr Priest crumples after one hit EVERY battle, and I did not carry NEAR enough items in with me
I errected a Planatary Shield, Poe used the Ultimate Versus Database, Chuck fired off an Ultima and Mike did his Imperial Smackdown (or whatever it's called). I then proceeded to fire 1E38s, Chuck Ultimas, Wayne with either Travam or the Grenade Launcher and Mike with his ultimate attack until the end boss died.
Oh I got the final Boss EASY with just 1E38s Wong beating them with that sword of his and the rest healing and keeping up
However once you do beat him and you have to run for
Uggghhh....

Wow, looks like I might have to make a strategy guide.
-I like to take Dice and Poe. They seem to work out best for me and I like Poe's end insult the best.
Sea Skimmer: Elim has a maximum of 260 HP. Try using the Holy Hand Grenade and the Vorpal Sword on him. You can find those by getting the boat, the location of which can be found in the southern house.
Phong: The Safe Tea Boots can be found at a secret rest stop on the Eastern bank of the E-Z river North of EssBee.
BTW I tend not to call Dice, Poe, Chuck, etc... "NPCs." After all, you can control them and they are part of your party. Thus they are PCs. Everyone else is an NPC to me.

Re: Help for players
I'm past him now. When I first installed it, it was glitching pretty bad. X and esc didn't work, with alt doing what they should have. The battles were choppy, with me having to press alt for each stage of the battle to proceed. I played through till Jacques like that, then left after I lost to him. When I came back, the movement keys didn't work. The selector on the opening menu would constantly scroll until I pressed the up button. On the other menus, the down button wouldn't work. In the game itself, the up button wouldn't work and the Newbie sprite would act as if the down button was being held down. I shut down my computer for a while, then reinstalled the game and it started working correctly. Right now, I'm at the stage where I have to choose a new party on Wong's ship.Doomriser wrote:Stuck on Jacques? Here's a suggestion that will make life a bit easier:XaLEv wrote:Right now, I'm at the stage where I have to choose a new party on Wong's ship.Doomriser wrote:Stuck on Jacques? Maybe someone in the Ice Caves has something that would make him a lot easier to defeat.
Pick two of them, and then take off all of their equipment. Repeat until no-one has stuff left and then choose who you want. Head into ASVS and sell the stuff you don't want and buy the very best stuff. Then stock up on supplies.
If you don't bring Chuck along, you need to compensate for that by bringing along a lot of supplies. If you do bring him along, remember that he's only useful at his higher levels, and his non-TS attack is virtually useless.

Never mind, I beat him without either of those, just took a pair of level 18 heros.Doomriser wrote:Wow, looks like I might have to make a strategy guide.

Ahhh, 1E38. If only it was still an area affect spell like when I ran through the thing in playtesting.phongn wrote:This is what I did, with Poe, Chuck (the priest), Wong & I:Mr Bean wrote:Except Mr Ninjas area attacks do 1 damage to everything in there and Mr Priest crumples after one hit EVERY battle, and I did not carry NEAR enough items in with me

I also used Chuck and Poe, although I think I'll go with Sir Graeme of Dice and either Kynes or Aron next time.
