First I would like to start out, this is not a debate on "Is Evolution real." If you want to vomit your bs about how it isn't go create your own thread on science board. I would like to ask the mods to percieve any comments of the sort as "plz delete this post and I also would like my account deleted as well"

Now, on to the topic.

How would you like to see human evolve? Not evolutions in any way that would happen, but that would be damn cool. I know probly as technology and medicine advances, humans will more and more resemble Jabba the Hutt.

Personally, I'd like to see our family jewels covered in a rock hard exoskeloton. No more weakness or cheap shots there. Also it'd be cool if we got bone claws, like the one Adam had when Buffy the Vampire Slayer jumped the shark.

I think that we will remain like we are for a long time. However, several things will happear and be more and more common in the following years.

-clones. Sooner or latter they will be here. And people will realize that it is not a danger and that genetic manipulation to increase faculties is much more harder than cloning. As the absolute majority of the population will continue to reproduce by natural means, they'll be unnoticed. The Admirable New World is not an option.

-Cybernetic enhancements will become more visible. Initially to replace lost organs and limbs and in the end to improve intellectual/physical capacity they will certainly find their way into society.

In a more distant future, full brain transplants will be possible. There will be candidates, and an entirely new branch of sentient beings will be created. Another one should join it, that of sentient machines.

Sentient machines will eventually "rule the world". I just wish for us to remain with the hability to unplug them.

I want to take a .45 in the knee and it be healed and fully repaired in three weeks

2. All-around Faster Speed/Higher Jumping(Jordan like Jumping common place)

3. MOST Wanted, Increse the speed at which humans can precive life

Ala- Bullet time

We already go into it invountarly when we are stressed and you see everything slow down?
I want to be able to flip it on and off at will

4. Perfect control of Body Chemicals
Ala -Jedi Style Control, Everything from making pesky things go away at bad moments( you know what I mean guys) to the ability to banish pain/hunger at will
And fall alseep on a dime

It's more of a question of mental evolution than physical evolution. I would like to see man evolve into a being that doesn't need to invent myths to buffer itself from the sheer crushing infinity of the universe. It would also be great if the primitive territorial instincts that are the roots of racism were eradicated entirely.

What will humanity evolve into? 'Evolution' into beings of light is merely a load of sci-fi claptrap. It's not going to happen. For a more realistic estimation, look at which social groups have the most kids who survive to reproductive age and reproduce successfully. Repeat for 50 generations.

At present the winners in the evolution game are the rednecks, the various Muslim ethnic groups, and 3rd world Catholics. Anyone who believes that humanity as a whole will turn into a race of drooling ape-morons probably isn't that far off.

The only wrench in this forecast is that a very small percentage of humanity--or possibly a descendent AI/bioengineered race created by us--will hit the singularity in a century or two. What'll happen post-singularity is pretty much by definition unknowable. A post-human might decide to uplift the rest of us or we might just get wiped out for much the same reasons that we get rid of insects and other pests.

Okay, dudes, if you want to read about some semi-serious speculation about future people, you could pick up Man after Man by Dougal Dixon. It's about as scientifically valid as a pompeiian account of volcanism, but it's really fun and he proposes some really funky things that could happen to us.

Somemore ideas, sticky tonges and dislocatable jaws for Yoshi style eating, even better a mix of the yoshi tounge and the the Xenomorphs from alien inner jaws. That would be kickass. And women with a third boob on her back for dancing.

Humans are no longer subject to evolution in the classical sense
because we adapt to to different environments with technology, and since just about all of us live to bear children, there are no genetic traits in paticular that pass along a reproductive advantage.

But in keeping with the spirit of the question, if I could have some cool new ability or trait I would like to not have any allergies what so ever. I hate summer cause it means sneezing, drowsyness, etc.

The answer; selective breeding of a higher intelligence subgroup, and then the others could become a seperate species, and live as slaves, kind of like what the republicans want only with intellect instead of wealth.
