"Jackass The Movie"

Post by Lord Poe »

Ladies and Gents,

I laugh at some really dark, fucked up stuff. I even think the guy with the fat chicks website is funny. The nastier, the meaner, the crueler (crueler?)
the joke, the better for me.

That said, I rented "Jackass", and I just didn't GET it. Was it supposed to be funny? I mean really, it was nothing more than a bunch of lame pranks strung together, that weren't funny or even interesting. Crashing golfcarts? Running around in panda outfits? Some guy dancing around in a thong? That's funny or interesting? How the fuck did this become a movie?

Of course, I said this about "Freddie Got Fingered" too..

The ONLY thing that got a chuckle out of me was the cordless haircutter attacks, and lighting fireworks in some guy's bedroom while he's asleep.

Did anyone like this movie?

Dude, I'm watching the end of it right now.

I like it. Funny shit. Stupidity is always amusing.

Some of it is just retarded (the pandas, the thong guy, the golf carts), but some of it was hilarious IMHO.

What did you find hilarious? I'd love to know, because I honestly thought it was boring for the most part.

I didn't feel the need to rob myself of an hour and a half of my life by going to see that movie.

First off, it was free for me. So instead of being bothered about the price of admission I was able to sit back and enjoy the movie. It was crap, but I laughed my ass off at a lot of it. I like stupid stuff like that though.

The key to dumb movies like Jackass is seeing them with a bunch of friends. I can watch dumb comedies by myself and not crack a smile, but when I see them with a group, I can't stop laughing.

The movie was above par for the series

All in all, it was teh zzing
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

I guess that it's like vicarious stupid fun; it's so weird and dumb and badly filmed I could easily imagine myself doing some of that stuff. Though not most of it. :P

Its stupid, crude unbelievably juvenile, and takes one fairly well educated individual(me) and makes me laugh so hard my sides hurt after seeing it.

Why ?

I have no clue.....possibily because it takes me back to HS and all the dumbassed shit we did to keep ourselves occupied and sane out in the middle of BFE Indiana. I just know that seeing Knoxville or Steve-O, Bam Margera or any of the other pull some stupid ass stunt makes me laugh really REALLY fucking hard :D

Favorite scene : When they attempt to run over the polar bear(IIRC), go airborne and crash so hard that it flips the golf cart and ejects the both of the passengers(Knoxville and Ryan Dunn I think) I laughed so hard I nearly suffocated because I couldn't breathe...............

It had some pretty funny scenes in it ( unlike freddy got fingered -_- ) I thought it was pretty funny when Steve-O jumped into the ceiling fan... that was pointless and retarded... but unexpected, so it got a cuckle out of me

A really bad movie. A Tom(In the words of one of the folks at Jabootu "He makes me") Green movie. But I repeat myself......Avoid it. Bad dramas are funny. Bad comedies are just painful.

As for "Jackass" I think that if I want to watch idiots hurt themselves, I'll go watch C-SPAN

What I enjoy about the movie is the whole surreal WTF moments they bring to passersby. It's the reaction of the people watching Knoxville & Co. that I find so amusing.

Remember the reaction of that old guy in the park when the portly fellow broke the bench, ripped his pants, and hauled ass?

Plus, how fun is it to see Knoxville get the tar whipped out of him by Butterbean? Or that one guy and the Japanese female kickboxer? LOL, the pain! :P

Jackass is kinda weird. As Iggy, said i can watch it on my own and not crack a smile, however if i was to be watching it with a few mates and alcoholic beverages where consumed i'd laugh like a hyena.
