Best Duet
Yes, yet another music thread! Sorry, sue me.
I was listening to the CD "The Bridge" by Billy Joel earlier today (while I was dying my hair the vibrantly beautiful reddish-blondish-brown that it is) when I was struck with the realization (again) that the song "Baby Grand" is totally kickass. It's a blues duet between Billy and Ray Charles, and the song kicks MAJOR ASSage. If you don't know it and like either of them, you should get to know it.
So, what duets do you love?

LOL, that song will forever be tainted for me because of Adam Sandler and "Happy Gilmore." Doh.

I guess so. If I remembered correctly, people seemed angrier at Elton for sining with a homophobe than at Eminem for being one. I also believe Eminem did a duet with some female singer (I think it was someone called Dido), with his song "Stan".anarchistbunny wrote:Does Eminem and Eltin John's act at the Grammies(I think) count as a duet? Seeing how I hate the music that a duet would happen in, the sheer halarity of that match up wins it for me.

hmm, lemme think...S&G?
ok, just kidding. This is cheesy, but one duet I always really liked was Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt. I can't remember the name of the song ("I don't know much"?), but it was awesome duet. They both gave incredible performances and the song is beautiful. I don't know if it's the best or not, but it's one of my all time favorites.
Willie Nelson has done some great duets too. And some 70's songs I can't remember right now. As far as duel-singer bands (besides S&G), I really liked X as well (John Doe and Excene Cervenka).

As of now, it's Pablo de Sarasate's Introduction & Tarantella. So far it's the best music composed for piano and violin I've ever heard.
