Drowned brats

 The Preceeding title is pun Daemoned

While it was snowing & raining here in Yosemite Valley Thursday, I had a family come in completly soaked, the rat faced bastard refused to let us build a fire in the fire place, so I had a whole bevy of soaked, half drowned, shivvering KIDS, in the restuarant. Seein several cases of the sniffiles and early hypothermia before me, I made them all Hot Coco, and since the jerk was watching over my sholder, I did so at my expense...

I got several "God Bless you's" and quite a few "Someone should do something about the management here"

Oh well on to being a force for good....

Good for you! And good of them to notice your management's inadequacies. May they find unemployment, real soon. :D

I'm just wondering: Are your management TRYING to live up to this guy?

Or are they just such dumbasses that it comes natural?

Im confused, did the manager of your place refuse a fire, or the father of the family? :?

Okay, thats what I thought, but not after the first read. Thanks! What an ass. Why not build a fucking fire. The last couple of storms that blew through here were cold for April. Especially where you are.

<disgustingly cutesy mode>

*sung to a christmasy tune*

When kids are hurtin'...
The times uncertain...
At the drawing of the curtain...
He is there!

At the toll of the bell
In a waterlogged shell
With a manager from hell...
Don't you fear.

For even while he's hobbling
He makes you feel at home
He's helping every youngling
That ever felt alone.

He's the Yosemite Bear
A sympathetic ear
A cuddly ball of care
To wipe away each tear.

</cutesy>

Pwease don't kill me, Colin.

*g* Well, you see, my motherboard decided to fry my gfx card... and then easter came up. I've been unable to buy components for just about a week! Meanwhile I'm sitting at my mother's computer with a half-broken keyboard... I'm positively suffering!

And I still haven't found it in me to finish the scifi story. Gah.

A likely story!

So which SF story is this?

The one I gave you the plot for earlier... I started on it, but no one seemed that interested so I put it on a back burner.

I know. On the other hand, I primarily write for personal gratification. I mean, sure I love feedback, but I don't write for that, I write for me.

By the by, how's Honor Bound coming along?

It's, er, not. At the moment. I'm considering a rewrite. There is a LOT I don't like about it.

Of course I need to work on my puns though, no one caught my Drowned Rats / Drowned Brats...

Of course those little kids were so pathetic looking, shivering wide terror eyed, and cold...

Oh, I wasn't being ironic. I think Colin's overworked, underappreciated, and a bit of a saint. Though he needs to go postal soon, release that pent-up stress. :)

Well, I liked it, but if you think you can make it even better, I'm not gonna complain. :)
