It is incredibly rewarding to gaze upon your children.
However, I don't expect everyone to understand that, for various reasons. For example, I would say that the majority of teenagers are still too self-absorbed to understand the appeal of parenthood.

I don't want children, they irritate me.

I pretend to not want them, but secretly I do want them. But I'll probably never get married, so I won't have them.

I'd like to have children, but the prospect of being responsible for taking care of someone scares me.

I have none and want none. It has nothing to do with my feelings towards children though, but rather my feelings towards society in general: I do not want to be responsible for bringing another human into this world. If I lived somewhere like the Culture, sure, I'd love to.
But sadly, the Culture is fiction, so my sperm will continue going to the sewer.

Don't have them, want them....getting them without a wife so far presents a slight problem given my dating situation(though with my luck I'll marry a lesbian who's only reason is for kids)

I'm too self-absorbed to want children.

Someday... A lot of people I know consider them very annoying, etc...

I would like to have a couple kids, but I won't be ready for them for a decade plus.

Don't have any , don't truly want any. I get pissed off and can barely deal with my dog on a regular basis, how the hell am I supposed to deal with a child......

I have a relationship with a single mom, and enjoy spoiling her little one...

I would be in the self absorbed category... although I am far from being a teenager.

Eventually yeah. A couple of mini-mes would be cool.
Of course that would involve a woman, so the chances aren't exactly all that high.

You people suck! Children are like little giggly people. Just remember, if you don't want a brat, be a responsible parent. Hell, it's not that hard to take care of them. Do I have any? No. However, I've grown up with little kids all my life, and I have a 10 yr old nephew. They follow your lead a lot.

I was at the disneyline, and I chatted with this little 2 ft munchkin. he insisted on going on the ride with me when the line was through. easy enough to talk to.

EXACTLY!! Little giggly people you have to watch, feed, cloth and make sure they bathe regularly......ick. I'll stay childless, and live a happy life of hedonisim and sin, unencumbered by the little anchors.......

LoL! I guess being more inclined to responsibility naturally, I don't see it that way. Hanging out with them, and doing all that icky shit you see is funny. They grow out of it eventually, and do it themselves.

It is my duty as a male of the species to help propagate the human race.
But for now I'll content myself with spoiling my niece.

I absolutely love kids. I can't understand the people who hate children; they must have had some sort of fucked up childhood or something.
Anyways, I plan on having kids someday (not in a big rush). I figure a good strategy is to go for one of each gender, and failing that, stop at three. But as we know, a plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

Oh Gods yes I want them. (hormones make me broody)
But I HATE ugly babies, and I'm terrified of being a bad parent

No offense, but if you have anger-management problems when dealing with your own dog, you need to seek help. And yes, in YOUR case, I would say that having kids is a bad idea.

I love kids. They're great... and even better when you can give them back. I don't want to have any of my own. Besides, I'm getting past child bearing years.
