If you ever receive in your mailbox an email titled "Virus Wraning" (no quotes, note spelling) containing the attachmetn "antivirus.exe.vbs" (no quotes, some Email providers will not show the .vbs at the end), DO NOT OPEN IT! The attached file is a virus and it will destroy your hard drive!
The virus comes hidden inside a message claiming to be a virus warning. The text of the message says that the attached file will protect against viruse infection. It does nothing of the kind. It is actually a destructive virus. After it has been activated, its first action is to look for any virus scanners and disable them. Even if you are using a virus scanner on your mail, it won't detect this virus. Once your security is disabled, the virus has free reign to wreak havoc on your copmuter!
The message goes on to instruct you to forward it to all of your friends, infecting them as well. Don't do it!
This message contains an antivirus program, the only one in the world that guards against this virus. It will protect your computer in case of accidental infection. Please run it, but only after you have sent a copy to all of your friends. They must be warned too, and as soon as possible!
