The werewolves didn't look so hot, but the movie was still well done. I rather like of the saergent put that bitch out of her misery.

I especially liked how that one soldier resorted to HtH combat. Good stuff.....

Ah bollocks, the werewolves were spot on, trust me, if they had gone the CGI route then we'd have some really corny graphics chasing men in houses and not really interacting too well, besides, this film harks back to the good old horror movies, not the modern crap today. :P

And who can forget, throughout that film I was waiting for the most elaborate Matrix gag ever made.

"There is no Spoon..."

Well I know that you use them on large spiders to patch them up if they are punctured and bleeding.

Why would anyone want to do that *shudder*

Anyone noticed that the two best horror films of the last year were British Fantasy Flicks?

We (my friend and I) want the sequel to be Evil dead II-esq the same plot (with all the characters magically alive again), but with a different horror villian.

All Hail Bat Soldiers and Zombie Soldiers!

I went out and rented this movie a while ago after people here were raving about it on a different thread. I thought it was great. I liked the dynamics.

"Maybe it's like taking a piss. When you gotta go, you gotta go."

"Yeah? And maybe it's like taking a shit. Just because you gotta go, doesn't mean you drop your pants and pinch one off."

That's what it was invented for, IIRC. That's the reason it bonds to skin almost instantly.

EDIT: Someone mentioned that it would suck if they had used bad CGI instead of costumes. I point towards Jar-Jar, and then towards the Alien Queen from Aliens.

According to the commentary they made up the part about the reason for superglue's invvention. Although, I have heard something along those lines before.

Hehe, the best bit was when they came under attack for the first time in the house and Sean Pertwee (the guy has NEVER survived a single film I can think of, Paul "Event Horizon" Anderson always kills him off in films too) had to fight Sam the Dog from ripping his guts out. :D

"SAUSAGES!"

Spoon: So this bloke walks into a pub right, with a little dog under his arm. Puts it down on the bar, goes and sits down. The bar-tender's lookin' at him thinking "what the fuckin' hell's goin' on here?". Then he looks back at the dog, and to his surprise the dog turns around and...
[Dead cow drops into camp]
Cooper: Fuckin' cow!
Spoon: Fuckin' hell!
[Terry fires at it]
Wells: Cease fire, Terry! Cease fire!
Joe: Terry, what the hell are you doin'? You're firing blanks man.
Wells: Is everyone all right? Is everyone OK?
Spoon: Nah, man, I think I've shit meself.

Sergeant Harry Wells: I am not breaking radio silence just cos' you lot got spooked by a dead fucking flying cow!

Yes, Spoon and his hand-to-hand and using-any-implement-around combat was just great, he could certainly teach Hudson from Aliens a thing about fighting freaks. :P This film easily rivals Evil Dead. I still kept thinking that Megan survived as well for some reason.

The only nit pick I have, is people talking about the England/Germany match as 'The most important match of his life'. Bollocks was it - especially seeing as they didn't know the score. It was just a qualifier, and not even a decisive one.

The DVD has the deleted scene in which they eat the cow.

And that was bandages in the dog's mouth, not guts.

It was still an England Vs. Germany match regardless, if we had lost, even just a friendly, we'd still be disgraced as most followers would no doubt say. Guess that's the way they think.

And from seeing the film it looked more like the dog was going for the sausages... mmm...
