Holy Crap, I thought this would never happen. I will probably go see it, just because I loved these movies when I was a kid.
Not that it will be a good movie...

No, New Line has just been talking about it for the past seven or more years.
I love horror movies; even the cheesy ones. For those who don't know, and actually care, if you watch the end of 'Jason Goes To Hell," Freddy's glove comes up out of the ground and pulls Jason's mask into Hell. We hear Freddy laugh too.
Maybe next we'll see "Halloween on Elm Street" or something and watch Michael Myers go up against him. Or maybe Jason VS Michael! It could be dueling masked killers! Or maybe...
Seriously though, they are squeezing every last penny that they can get out of this franchise.

This is old news. They finished filming it last september I believe. What really irks me is there's no Kane Hodder as Jason! WTF! What's the point if you're not gonna have Jason played by the right actor?
I'll still see it though, but that still pisses me off.

Bah...waste of time.
Alien vs. Predator is much more appealing
.....or maybe ST vs. SW if they ever get some time.

Personally i've been waiting for a cheesy crossover for years, i love comic crossovers (not to mention the cgi crossovers i'm currently learning to do), andi think, yes it will be a pants movie, but come on, it's not as if any jason films have been particularly archetypal or cerebral.
IT's just like revenge of the ninja splat gore monster sort of thing. Personally i think it could be quite cool, if just stupid and pointless.
AvP however will be a different story altogether! IF done like the comics or recent computer games, it should be halla cool.

What will be fun to see is "will they fight in the real world or the dream world?"

****WARNING POSSIBLE SPOILERS****
Well there's supposedly a dream sequence where Freddy takes Jason back to camp crystal lake and they fight it out underwater. In the unreleased trailer theres a really pissed off Jason walking down the street and you can see a sign that says 'Elm Street'
The sequence I'm really looking forward to is the corn field rave slaughter. In this part, Jason crashes a rave dance and starts mowing people down. He's supposedly as tall as the corn stalks thus showing him off as the ultimate monster slasher villain that he is.

I think Jason must be from the planet Krypton. He is damn near invulnerable! I wonder how he manages to get bigger in every movie...

What difference does it make? He has no lines, no facial features... you wont even be able to tell ... the only reason you know is the fact that you looked it up on the website. Honestly, why does that make it so bad ?

Fans will like that Yu see this "as the first film in a series, not the 20th. We're kind of forgetting everything that's happened before and starting from scratch while at the same time showing flash backs". Expect sequels if this does well at the box office.
Uh oh, does this sound familiar?
here's a hint, a certain producer for a certain Sci Fi series who prides himself on the fact that he never watch THE ORIGINAL SERIES...hmmmm....

It's not a cosmetic difference, it's a body language difference. Watch the Jason that was portrayed in parts 2-6, then watch hodder in 7-10. You will see he represents more of a 'hulk' styled Jason. His heavy breathing, the swinging torsoe/head movement. The thing many people liked about Kane was that he himself was a fan of Jason, he did his best to show Jason in the way that fans of the series liked.
The worst part is the reason they're getting rid of Kane, they want a Jason that can show emotion, a Jason that the audience can feel sympathy for. Kind of a phantom of the opera-style Jason. The problem is that this is not the Jason Voorhees that fans of the series have grown to love. This is just some twit with a hockey mask.

Now is this by Vay Porwhere Films?
Because I've heard the same rumors since 1990.

It's being released by New Line in August (origninal release date was June 13, but they bumped it back 2 months), there's been one trailer already (not released online however).
Filming was wrapped up last fall. If you look on kazaa/kazaalite you can find a E! short story video where they take you on location to the filming and interview Robert Englund (Freddy, he is still in his makeup in the video) about the movie. It's a pretty small and low quality video though.

Why should the fans feel sympathy for Jason he`s a demonic killing machine.

****WARNING SPOILERS****
The storyline goes as Freddy being unable to kill the kids of Elm Street cause they're taking these drugs that don't allow them to dream or something. So Freddy enlists Jason to do his dirtywork. Eventually Jason is supposed to turn on Freddy. I guess it's in there that we're suppose to feel sympathy for Jason. I agree. It is retarded, Kane never would have agreed to be a sympathetic Jason, which is probably why he's not in this movie.
