SDnet is having server trouble again.
It lags horribly, then fifteen minutes later, I get something that says
"PHP Critical Error
Could not connect to the database."
Which lasts an hour
WTF!?!?!

You're lucky. I'm not being able to log in at all.
Just managed to get in through the secure connection, it's slow as hell

Site didn't even load for me for minutes on end. Had to attempt three times to get a thread up.

I think poor Mike has a shitload of troubleshooting to do when he logs on...
PHP logs, connection logs, the works...

It's that goddamned Java server app that's running on the server. There are 5 processes chewing up 18% of the server's CPU power apiece (do the math). I sent Lord MJ an E-mail.

Is it an app that's essential for server operations or is it some idiot running some stupid resource hog on the server? -_-

That must be one poorly coded JSSE app.

I managed to get through to MJ, and he restarted the CPU-hogging process, which had somehow gotten itself stuck in some kind of death spiral. It seems OK now.

While we're on the topic of forum funkiness...anyone using BlackSoul as a template see the forum with a grey background? (the other templates load fine for me) Using Mozilla 1.3 full.
edit: Here's a screenshot if that helps you any.
I scaled it down, and compressed the hell out of it, but you get the general idea.

I'm using the same browser and the same template, and I don't see that. Have you tried refreshing?

Your stylesheet is apparently fucked over. I've had the same problem with Nukezone, and reloading usually fixes it. But if that doesn't work, clear your cache and try again...

That's happened to me before. Usually because either my bandwidth was maxed, or my RAM was maxed. I use IE.

I'm on a fresh install of XP so cache isn't even an issue. However, it wouldn't suprise me in the least if Mozilla 1.3 was to blame. So far, I am NOT impressed with it, and am seriously thinking of switching back to 1.2.1.

Scratch that, its suddenly decided to load properly.
Mozilla is really starting to go down the tubes, quality wise.....
I'm definitely going back to 1.2.1.
