Damn! With all the problems with my Ford Contour I don't think I'm ever going to do American cars again. Viva la domestique! Maybe a mini-cooper could be in the works?

For one thing, th Ford Contour is a DISCONTINUED model, and has been for over three years... And with proper maintenance, it is quite a good car.

One thing I have learned, ANY car is a good one, as long as you take care of it properly!

Cars are like computers --- my is better than yours...---- bull cookies.....

Any care is as good as YOU take care of it.

BTW: my mom's Countour has over 250,000 on it, it runs great... Of course she also get the "required" maintance done on it as suggested by the manufactor.

Yes, that is true, but some cars . . . especially Fords seem to develop a much higher number of problems over the lifetime of the vehicle than other makes.

Ehhh, no, not in the United States. You're going to have a hard time tracking down parts and finding a mechanic who knows a thing or to about them when they break down.

Unless, of course, you happen to live in France, or continental Europe, in which case, it's no problem.

We had the least problems with japanese cars.
English ones were pretty bad. French & Italian
made cars have improved alot lately. Can't say
much about american cars because Ford & others
build different cars for europe & the US.
