Nah, Shi Tzu.
And its weird, because shes been in thunder before and she didn't seem to notice, and now all of the sudden it scares her to death. I can't put my finger on it though....

I like thunderstorms. No surprise since I'm a fan of AC/DC

Perhaps she has learned to associate it with bad things.

I thought you were gonna say your dog was struck by lightning.... twice. Good thing is only freaking out ^^;; ... Hrmm, im not sure what you can do to calm it down. Perhaps feed it some sedatives to ease its nerves.... however i donno how legal that is. A lil bit of cough medicine might do the trick

*nods* Yep, my dog is scared of thunder, too. Although all she does is hide under a table in the basement.

I have a friend who has a Siberian husky, and every time there's a thunderstorm, the dog heads for the basement, and wont come back up until it's over.

Hmm, I like thunderstorms too...
But why don't you just let the dog go hide? S/he will get over it before long...
And for the record, my dog couldn't really care less if it thunders, if it rains, she gets on the porch or in her house, if it thunders, she doesn't really pay any attention to it. Guess it is the fact that she has been trained not to be gun shy.

A couple reasons:
A.) If I'm holding her, she won't piss on me. If I let her go, she'll go piss on the carpet somewhere, and that sucks to clean up.
B.) If she's nervous, she'll find something lying around and chew it up.
C.) In relation to C, if she's nervous not only will she chew it up, she may
swallowit. She almost never does this normally, but the last time it was thundering out she swallowed parts of a pencil (thank goodness she's fine).
D.) I can comfort her (to a degree) if I'm with her, so she isn't as frantic.

Shi Tzu? Just put her in a shoebox already until the storm ends!

Big thunderstorms are so rare where I live they make the local news when they happen. My cat used to hide under the bed when it happened.

Why's your comp in full exposure to the sun? Or do you not have any room?
Main topic: nothing else to say.

My Dachshund is terrified of thunder to boot, she always goes and borrows under the covers of our bed when its really booming outside, no pissing problems though.
Oh, and as advice, go pick up some "Natures Miracle Pet Stain and Odor Remover" Wal-Mart and Pet-Smart both carry it and its goddmed amazing, no smell left over at all, Febreez is weak by comparison.
